          Hello cbahia,

Thanks for your post. You can not use R language. NinjaTrader uses NinjaScript which is based on C#

NinjaTrader 7 targets .NET 3.5 and while I'm not aware of any interpolation libraries available for R, NinjaTrader 8 supports .NET 4.5 which means you would be able to import some of the functions in a 3rd party library such as R.Net - https://rdotnet.codeplex.com/documen...ringTitle=Home

We do not have any plans to support such implementation, but it will be technically feasible.

Hi Brandon, just asking and curious, Why is that? Wasn't the original release date for this year 2014?

                      Hell onewbie0101,

                      Thanks for your post.

There have been no official release dates. A release of the end of this year was hoped for however no ETA has been made. This is a major rewrite of the application with many enhancements. Development is ensuring a quality release and putting the proper time and effort into the development and testing process.

                          No, it was 2013.

Can you please give us an example what kind of coding changes would be needed between 7 and 8.

                            Thanks,

Many core data and strategy order functions will remain the same. Event handlers you're used to such as OnBarUpdate, OnMarketData, etc will remain the same.

There have been a few configuration changes, for example there is no longer a single Initialize() method, but rather a OnStateChange which will enumerate through the startup process, providing more flexibility between the transitions between a user pushing UI settings, to the indicator/strategy becoming real-time.

Most native render methods such as the Draw tools have seen a signature change, but will function mostly the same with some added features such as being able to configure alerts, specify templates etc.

We will have a code breaking document at the time of the beta release to guide developers through the changes.

How long do you think NT7 will still be supported for use for the users who wish not to upgrade at this time? Like updates for NT7 which may be required by exchanges or brokers. Will you guys still update NT7 for these things so customers can still use this version?
