I am thinking of buying the new ipad with cellular data to trade on NT8. What would be my steps to get started? any tips? Thank you

Thank you very much for your post.
Using the iPad, you would be able to use both, NinjaTrader Mobile and NinjaTrader Web to access a Tradovate/NinjaTrader-based account.
However, it would not be possible to install NinjaTrader Desktop or connect to different providers on this device.
If you would like to use NinjaTrader Desktop, this could be enabled by e.g. installing it on a VPS, and then remotely accessing it through the iPad.
While NinjaTrader Desktop is not intended to be used with a touch screen, you could still use this setup to trade e.g. using automated strategies.
