Hi,

Unfortunately not with a Single Broker license, you would need to upgrade to the Multi Broker license.

Another option is to use the Free Edition license which has all providers included but won't let you trade Live.

i dont wont to trade live with Gain in NT.I just wont to be able to connect Gain with NT 6.5 so i can see tha historical data and trade live only with MB trading.Is that ok with single broker license?

Can a person open a live GAIN account, and use the NT Free Edition license? I do not intend to trade through NT.

Hang on a minute. I have a funded Gain account with $1000 in it, and have been using the free NT license, which was previously valid for live and practice trading. Just connected to NT and got the infamous message about GAIN and October 18 etc. I can no longer access GAIN at all through NT.

I upgraded NT to the 6.5.1000.18 and went to set up the GAIN connection again, but there is no option to select GAIN in the provider list. I don't need to use NT for trading at this stage (I can use GAIN's ForexPro software for that if needed), but I do need it for charting and backtesting from the GAIN data.

Do I need to purchase a NT license or not?

Never mind, I just figured it out. My NT license was for 'LIVE' and 'Simulated'. I just requested a new free license key and now I can connect to GAIN again.

Simulated only. Just go here:

and sign up again as a new user. They'll send you a new key straight away and you just replace your existing key with the new one (under Help>License Key in NT).

It seems you only need to pay for a NT license if you want to use it place trades with GAIN. If you just want access to the realtime data (and NT's store of historical GAIN data) then you can still use NT for free. I assume you need a live and funded GAIN account to get access though, i.e. it probably won't work for demo accounts.

I signed up and funded a Gain Capital / Forex.com account ( write2kc ).
Downloaded and installed NT 7.22 B.
Setup the GAIN connection and set this account as my default.
Am able to successfully login, but do not see my account balance.
Additionally the logs indicate my license is a Simulation License.
Gain Customer Support has verified receipt of my funds as of October 18.
Please help.

If you want to see your live account and trade against it, you must purchase a live trading license from our website. If you are using the simulation key, then your experience is expected.

Sorry to get back to this, but after having spoken to Forex.com I am still confused.
I understand that if I open and fund an account (any account, even an account associated with metatrader4) with Forex.com, I would be able to get Forex.com datafeed into NT free version.
I do not intend to trade through NT, just get the datafeed into NT as I used to have before.
Could you please confirm that ANY forex.com account would be enough to achieve this?
