GAIN-specific license?

I have mbtrading license with ninja.

I used to connect with gain first to take historical data and then to mbtrading to trade live.

What is your suggestion ?

Can't you access historical data from MB Trading?

Hi Blazer, if you're on NT7 please ensure your MBT connection is setup as per my screenshot to have historical data access from their servers, then just connect to MBT for your data backfills and execution.

Unfortunately, historical data is not available through MB Trading in version 6.5. This is a capability which is new to NinjaTrader 7.

I am not fond of Ninja 7 at all, but are you saying if I get Ninja7 up and runnig and use MBT, that historical data is available just as it was using Gain data?

Correct, historical data will be available from MB Trading.

Please note that we support forex brokers other than Gain as well. See the supported forex brokers below:

- GAIN Capital/FOREX.com
- PFGBEST.com
- MB Trading
- Interactive Brokers

Excuse me, but I will answer to you.

From above brokers only Gain don't need any other client(program) that must run with NT.

I trade forex and only Gain from above brokers largest company specialized on forex trading. From above brokers only MBtrading specialized company for forex trading.
Who knows PFGBEST like a forex broker except you?
IB big good company but not for forex trading - they have bad conditions for this trading (commission, big deposit etc...)

And what you have in finale?
Only one company for forex trading that support NT (MBtrading) or vice versa, NT support only one company for forex trading.
You think it's enough?

Correct, the license will be available for purchase next Monday. You can continue to use your existing GAIN license until October 18th, 2010. You must sign up from a data provider (www.kinetick.com our preferred choice) if you do not have a live funded GAIN account. If you do have a live GAIN account then you will NOT require any data service since your live funded account will provide real time and historical data.

@ NinjaTrader_RayR: As I understand to receive GAIN feed through NT, we must trade a minimum amount monthly to be eligible, otherwise Feed is cut off, even if we have a paid NT GAIN subscription.

My 2 cents

I have a live gain only account. i also have a seperate Ninja Trader Gain account.
Watching the spreads simultaneously it appears that the Ninja Trader Gain spread maybe wider than the feed to their ForexPro platform. At least that is what I can witness all throughout the day.

i try to get historical data from mb trading.i see this message: error on loading chart data.error (errclientsideconnect)on loading historical data.i have download the nt7 and i have tick the (use MB trading servers) but i dont get the historical data.

In the message, please include the following:

1.) A link to this forum thread.

2.) Your most current trace file.
You will find the trace file in the Documents > NinjaTrader 6.5 (or 7) > Trace folder.
Today's trace file would be named 'trace.20101018.txt'.
