      Hi price777999,

      Thank you for your reply.

Yes, that is much to large.

The import reported that it completed successfully?
If you delete and re import the data, does that make a diffrerence?

      To Delete:
Click Tools > Historical Data > Delete
Select the YM, set the From date to the beginning of the historical data you imported and select the minute data only, then click OK.

Then, re import the data, open a new chart of the YM and see if the historical data shows up.

I have successfully imported historical minute data but i can not see it on the charts .

i have tried deleting all the data from the instrument then resetting everything but still no luck .

price777999, did you try this connected or disconnected from a live feed? Please try this disconnected for a small time period back (like 5 days) and for dates you're sure the data was imported - you can verify this by exporting it from the local database with the Tools > Historical Data > Export option.

yes i have been doing this disconnected ,that is the correct procedure ?

anyway i exported the data then imported it again and now it seams to be working, but i do find the fragility of this platform disconcerting to say the least .

Great you got it working, this would indicate it was not imported successfully prior to that. Of couse you can also use the stored historical data connected, but I was just suggesting to disconnect to keep it as simple as possible for troubleshooting.

if it was not imported successfully why was i getting the message "import successful" ?

my point is, the platform does not seam to handle basic tasks without problems ?

price777999, sorry for the frustration importing your datafiles - if you like you can use YouSendIt to send me the file or a part of it and I will try to reproduce this on my end. You can use support at ninjatrader dot com as the YouSendIt address, put it to my Attn in the subject.

                    Thank you for your posts.

In the case of price777999's historical data files, the data was in the correct format. However, certain lines contained invalid values. For example, the close price being listed as lower than the low price.

When an error occurs during import, specific line items will be listed in the log tab. Removing or editing those lines which produce an error message will allow for successful import.
Hmmm... sounds like the big boys tampered with the data...

But it's cheap, so I probably need to buy it unless there's something equally as cheap. Is ES only $20?

I checked the website and it states they offer seperate symbols for $20.00 each. I suggest to contact them to have this verified.

Can the purchased data be used with market replay?

                          Thanks,

No, you would need to record Market Replay data yourself or use shared Market Replay files from your friends as discussed in the other thread. With NinjaTrader 7 we plan to offer Market Replay data for download inside the application, although this is 'work in progress' at this point in time - http://www.ninjatrader.com/webnew/NT7/NinjaTrader7.html

                              Bertrand,
                              1. how can I become a beta tester?
                              2. and how can I adjust my chart data bars vertically so my, I want to see taller bars on my screen, I dont care if some indicators are not shown. In Tradestation, I just adjust in the price area as I do in NT, however, in NT it stops and my bars are only taking up 25 to 50% of available screen space vertically.

                              Thanks,
                              Jim

                                Hi Jim,

                                Thank you for your reply.

1.) When NinjaTrader 7 is available for public beta, you will likely be notified in the form of a pop-up message at startup.

2.) You will want to click in the price axis and drag your mouse to compress the chart. Please let me know if this does the trick for you.
