How can you add a button to your NT interface?

Does anyone know how to add a button to the NT interface? I would like to add a button that will start and stop a strategy with a single click. Any help, direction, and/or examples would be greatly appreciated.

Adding a button to NT interface

May I suggest you have a look at one of the indicators which gives you Economic news times. There is a version where a Hide News button has been placed on the Ninja Trader toolbar. Perhaps the code for that indicator will give you a clue.

Thanks MicroAl. I will certainly do so. Thanks for the great idea. Truth be told, I may just go the route of paying someone for this functionality. We'll see.

i have coded this stuff sometimes back. it has buttons added on the toolstrip. you can use the same for reference. its in a dll form but the code is not obfuscated.

you can also add buttons on the chart or wherever. though havent tried it.

                  dll

bukkan - what would you use to 'read' a dll file?
Would love to take a look inside this code.

See how APIs, libraries, frameworks, and 3rd party .NET code really work with the leading .NET decompiler - .NET Reflector. Runs as a Visual Studio add-in.

I think that's an excellent idea. I would definitely support it.

                        Dave,

Glad to hear it. Does anyone else support this motion? I will get started if I see some more hands raised.

                        EDIT:

                        I'm looking at:
A leading Enterprise 2.0 collaboration platform with 400+ extensions, used by 50,000 businesses, maintained by an active open source community for 10+ years.

Any other suggestions are welcomed. I don't want to flood this thread, let's keep it clean and start a new thread to discuss the wiki if interest is shown.
