    Unfortunately there is no time frame I can provide at this point in time. I suggest holding off on any purchases just yet and contacting us in the meantime if you need something protected.

    Thank you for the fast feedback. Could you please clarify the expected time frame? Are we talking about days, weeks or about a couple of months? I know you cannot determine it for sure but may-be a range <1 month, 1-3 month, 3-6 months would help.

    We are currently in the process of getting an alternative to RemoteSoft operational. For the time being if you are unable to get hold of a RemoteSoft license and you need something protected immediately please send in a support email to support [at] ninjatrader [dot] com.

    Remotesoft Alternative

    Dear NT team

    I am looking to protect our NT code. I know there is RemoteSoft which seems to be pretty difficult to get a hold of the license. Since I do not need the protection immediately, are there plans to work together with some other provider? I heard an alternative could be Secureteam CliSecure? If there are any plans, please let me know what the estimated time frame is so I can decide if I should still start the adventure of buying RemoteSoft.

    Or did the buying process improve since a few months?

    Are you still having difficulties installing RemoteSoft? Our IT admin believes there may be some issues with registry permissions on your particular machine. We are able to provide you with some steps to try and resolve registry issues, but this does come at some risks to your computer system and it also has no guarantees to resolve your issue. Please let us know if you wanted to go down this route.

    Can you try it on another computer?

    I had a problem with the install once and it turned out the install I downloaded was corrupt. So try downloading it again just to be sure. Try it on another machine.

    When you disable UAC did you reboot your computer? Development says you will definitely need UAC to be truly fully disabled to be able to install. Today 05:15 PM
    That worked for me. I disabled UAC, rebooted the PC then installed Remotesoft without any problems

    But the question is did you reboot after setting UAC to disabled. Or did you reboot as UAC was still enabled.

    Also, is your user account an Administrator account? Please try installing with an admin account if not.

    Yes, when I said "restarted", that is what I meant. I rebooted the machine after disabling UAC. And then attempted the installer. Error 2826.

    Same issue exists (error code 2869) from the latest download you sent me. I think there's a bug in that MSI installer with regards to Windows 7 x64. I tried with UAC on, UAC off (which I really shouldn't have to do), restarting, installing it for Everyone, installing it Just For Me - all combos failed with same error from both downloads you gave me.

    Have you tried redownloading the installer again? You may have a corrupt installer.

    For everyone else: RemoteSoft v4 is not supported. Only supported version is v3.1. If you have purchased v4 please contact RemoteSoft for v3.1.

    Your suggestion did not work. I did a little digging and found this Microsoft thread:

    The suggestion in this thread failed to work as well for me. When viewing the log file output of this command which helps gather logging from the MSI execution, I see what the 2826 error is about:

    Install.bat:
    msiexec /i C:\Remotesoft-Protector-v31.msi /L*v C:\log.txt

    Code:
    DEBUG: Error 2826: Control Line1 on dialog ConfirmInstallForm extends beyond the boundaries of the dialog to the right by 3 pixels
    The installer has encountered an unexpected error installing this package. This may indicate a problem with this package. The error code is 2826. The arguments are: C
