how many of you still stuck at 8.0.28.0?

I wonder if I could call upon one of you coding wizards for a small (for you guys!) favour…..
Most respondents here are contributors to/familiar with the original thread on this - and at least the pressure worked with Development acquiescing but no date and approaching a year later no action…..

I’m not a coder, managed to compile in VS without errors reported but while it ran it didn’t enter pw (I succeeded with preceding ‘mouse-click version’ but had the ‘focus’ problem - it seemed to me the NT launch shortcut need to be in a specific location Desktop and would sometimes launch other desktop folders)

Any chance someone who knows what they’re doing could compile the .exe? I could live with waiting for login to complete before shifting focus to another activity.

But I hit a cul-de-sac and after expending numerous hours and VS tutorials the juice became not worth the further squeeze . Just a humble trader.

And i guess another big reason why so many people are still using 8.0.2.28 is because it's been cracked.
I haven't seen any cracked versions of 8.1.3.x floating around yet.

Can you please share more info on what you mean by it's been cracked? What's the benefit of the crack?

Unfortunately if your account has been migrated to Schwab you will be unable to connect this account within NinjaTrader at this time.

Our development team has received the necessary documentation from Schwab to start creating the new connection adapter, although we don't have an exact timeline for when this will be completed. However, our aim is to have it ready for the next release of NinjaTrader 8.

the most horrible thing is:

once you changed to web login, your license will be migrated and you will NEVER be able to go back!
you will have to be forever stick with a ninja ID which I don't feel comfortable with if anyone hacked it....

Hi would someone elaborate on this? What do you mean by "never go back"? If you migrate your license key via the web portal are you still able to use NT version 8.0.28?

I’d hazard a guess to in some way circumvent bona-fide Licence Key?

Thank you for reaching out.

As long as you still have access to your LifeTime License key code, you can always go back to version 8.0 while the previous download is still available.

The 8.1 system is centered on the login/user ID you import your license key to.

Once imported, it add entitelements to the user, so that when you login to your platform or any other PC with NT8 installed, it will implement the entitlements of the user onto the platform.

Basically, you just need to login to NT8 8.1, instead of having to keep and plugin your License key within the actual platform.
