definally there is a lot of confusion.

this is not really an update done correctly.

    too much details are missing.

first, I receive messages to buy another lifetime license, with a discount, I receive that twice per year, maybe more.
but, with your new system, I can put just one license into the admin panel

anyway, old commissions were higher, compared to new ones.

also old ones was lower than what really show into ninjatrader platform,

well, there is also a spread, that nobody mention, but thats another story

anyway, this update is not well done, is really a mess.

why into my lifetime license, multibroker I still have 2.09 usd commission for ES ?
How long have you been trading?

You're confusing the itemized commission that goes to NinjaTrader brokerage with the total commission that includes Exchange & NFA, and Clearing. See the commission breakdown here: https://ninjatrader.com/PDF/ninjatra...ommissions.pdf

for how long I trade doesn't really matter,
I spend my time to understand the market direction, not to understand who is taking my money from commission and how the cut the profit

so, $0.59 / Standard , is a fake reklam, just to actract new clients.

I suppose it would be clearer to say "broker commissions per side" but it is often understood that there are exchange and other fees that are the same from broker to broker. Those you won't save by switching brokers, because they are required by the exchange agreements to trade these instruments. So, yes, NinjaTrader could quote the "all-in" fees instead of the fees THEY charge, but then if other brokers don't all do the same (NT quotes all-in while other broker quotes just the broker commission), it could easily lead to a user being confused into thinking NT is more expensive when it is often less expensive. My suggestion would be to say "Broker commissions per side" which is completely true.

Not according to the fee sheets.

The Exchange & NFA fee has gone up at least $0.05 for nearly all markets, but commissions look the same pretty much across the board, at least since the June 2022 sheet.

Here is my 5 cents worth...

I actually own three lifetime multibroker licenses of NinjaTrader. To say that the migration to the new NT8.1 version is horrible is a gross understatement. In the past, I simply downloaded the new version and installed - nice and easy. Now, you have to create an account, an account I will not use. What is even worse, however, you can only migrate one license key. So what do I do with my other license keys? I guess I am penalized and can no longer use them. Nice move NT! Also, for some reason, the new version overwrites your files so say goodbye to any custom code you may have had. I wish the migration, and the risks, were clearly spelled out, and better handled by NT. Also, overwriting existing files is huge no, no. Who rolls out a code base update like this?

Heads up everyone - back up EVERTHING first, if you plan to migrate. Better still, don't! Stay with version 8.0.27.1. The new version is not worth the hassle.
Now I am off to try and recover the files I lost, and figure out how to enable my multibroker connections, OR go back to version 8.0.27.1 .

Zeos6 you must be mistaken. See here
The new subscription model in NT requires that we update to 8.1. I have a complex set of charts, with a sizeable amount of data being displayed, on each chart. Do you have a Runbook, or a checklist one should follow to... 1. Archive current setup. 2. Successfully carry over the existing setup, templates, workspaces and all to

‘It is not expected that there would be an issue when updating to the latest version of NinjaTrader 8.’

So clearly you are incorrect. Despite the reams of posts on here to the contrary.

Good luck & sympathies extended for the waste of time and frustrations inflicted upon you.

Just got to keep holding NT’s feet to the fire when they post denials of the reality

Hi is this still the case if one upgrades from 8.028 to the current version?
                  Thanks
