NinjaTrader + Rithmic = Not updating positions

    I have 20ms - 25ms latency to live.tradovateapi.com from California and I am getting these positions updates issues when copying across Apex Tradovate and Apex Rithmic accounts. I have tried going the VPS route but the input lag and the chart lag became less than favorable. There has to be something that is being missed.

    Oddly I was not getting these kinds of issues prior to the 8.1.3.1 release but reverting back to previous versions did not remedy anything.

    I wanted to add something to the discussion here. Whenever I use trade copiers whether it be Replikanto or Apex Trade Copier, I noticed Ninja's trader alert sounds become lagged, sometimes even playing 30 seconds later when they should have. Anyone else notice that? Eventually sounds become garbled and it will affect my system sound as well.

    Anyways, I wonder if this could be introducing some kind of lag/bug that affects the copiers not updating positions correctly?

    This has to be an issue Ninja can address/optimize! If all copiers are having this kind of issue, does it not point to Ninja possibly being the issue in how it currently handles positions updates?

    It's too bad Apex doesn't have their discord channel, but I was having problems with my Tradovate accounts from MFF today, and the MFF mods posted in the discord it was widespread with their Tradovate accounts. I'm thinking Tradovate from others like Apex was also hit by it.

    I have started to see issues even using a VPS as well. Maybe I'll have to try another VPS company.

    For those using VPS systems, do you get input lag?

    Also, using Apex Tradovate does not remedy this positions update issue. I know some of us thought only Rithmic was affected but I am getting the same issues with Tradovate.

    Yeah I am still having the problem also. Even with a VPS. I have to disconnect and reconnect in order to clear those fake open positions.

Still waiting a solution from them...

    Yep! When you rent a VPS from us, it nearly pays for itself in slippage!

    30 seconds? More like a few milliseconds...

    We have tons of users in California who use our servers in Chicago to eliminate this exact problem you are having.

    They did have some growing pains because of being the largest prop firm, but since their upgrades I haven't had any issues with ghost trades, and they also credited back the problems from last time.

    I use the NinjaTrader Trade Copier from Lumens Trading Systems and don't have any issues like this. It copies trades from NinjaTrader to NinjaTrader and a few other platforms.

    I don't use any trade copier or replikanto, but the same happened today to me. My order got closed by triggering the profit target. It did remove the OCO orders, but on the chart it still showed an open position, so I paniced and hit the close button. That opened a new trade and I had to hit the close button again. This is not the first time that this has happened. NinjaTrader_ChelseaB

    NinjaTrader_ChelseaB could you kindly share the steps being taken to resolve this issue? This will allow all relevant parties to follow along and streamline the process, potentially reducing the number of tickets opened for NinjaTrader and for the vendors. That would be a great assistance to us.​​
