Editor background color white with NT skin in NinjaTrader dark!

    Editor background color white with NT skin in NinjaTrader dark!

    Hi,

    I had to install NT again.
    I selected the skin as NinjaTrader dark in Tools -> Options

    Now I have everything in black / dark, but the editor has still the background color in white!!
    Why is it so?
    How can I switch it to black?

    Thank you for the message.

    Please take a screenshot of what you are referring to and include that in your response so we can see. It would help to have a few windows in the picture so we can see what the different one looks like compared to the others.
    • To send a screenshot with Windows 10 or newer I would recommend using the Windows Snipping Tool.
    • Alternatively to send a screenshot press Alt + PRINT SCREEN to take a screenshot of the selected window. Then go to Start--> Accessories--> Paint, and press CTRL + V to paste the image. Lastly, save it as a jpeg file and send the file as an attachment.

      Here it is

      Also notice the NinjaScript Output, which now shows different when you select some text.

      As I said, this is after downloading your last version and installing it last Sunday

        Hello artson,

        Thank you for the update.

        Please try switching to the other "Dark" skins like "NinjaTrader Dark" and then test if the background color of the editor has changed.
        If you switch between the different skins and the background color continues to show as white, please follow the steps below to Repair the Installation of NinjaTrader:
        • Close NinjaTrader
        • Go to the Windows Control Panel > Programs and Features (Sometimes "Uninstall a program") > Click NinjaTrader > Click "Repair"
        • Click Next through the prompts until it is Finished and it is done
        Reopen NinjaTrader and test if the behavior continues.

          Hi, I have already NT Dark

          This is the first thing I did.

          As I said, before crashing and installing it again, it was dark.
          It started after the new installation......

            Thank you for the update.

            Please test if the behavior continues after removing the UI File so NinjaTrader creates a new one:
            • Close NinjaTrader
            • Go to the Documents Folder > NinjaTrader 8
            • Click and drag the "UI" file and drop it on the Desktop
            Reopen NinjaTrader and test if the background is still white.

            If yes, please let us know and we will provide further steps.

                Hello artson,

                Thank you for the update.

                Please use the following steps to see if this behavior continues in a clean environment. If not, we can then provide steps to manually move your files and folders back in to narrow in on the original cause of this behavior.

                Creating a clean environment can be done by following the steps below:
                1. Close NinjaTrader 8, and rename the "NinjaTrader 8" folder in My Documents to something like: "NinjaTrader 8 OLD"
                2. Uninstall NinjaTrader from the Windows Control Panel and reinstall using the installer from the NinjaTrader Dashboard:
                Reopen NinjaTrader and sign in and click "Simulation" to get the platform to open.
                • Switch the skin back to "NinjaTrader Dark"
                • Switch back into "Multi-provider mode"
                Now, restart NinjaTrader and then check if the NinjaScript Editor is still showing with a white background.

                If not, we can now move each of the main files and folders back into the NinjaTrader folders 1-by-1 to narrow in on what was causing the background to appear white.
                • Close NinjaTrader and copy the following files and folders back over from "NinjaTrader 8 Old" to the same place in "NinjaTrader 8" 1-by-1 and restart NinjaTrader in between and check if the background of the editor is white again
                  • Config
                  • UI
                  • Workspaces Folder
                  • Templates Folder
                  • bin Folder
                • If you move all of these folders and the behavior doesn't return, then it seems to have been reinstalled by a fresh installation for some reason.

                Please let us know if we may provide any further assistance.

                  I reinstalled again NT and now it is finally dark!!!!
