    Opening multiple workspaces

    Hello

is it possible to load multiple work-spaces at once?

    Not afaik.
Fwiw if useful for you to be aware (I see you’ve been a member longer than me so don’t want to be teaching grandma to suck eggs…)
I’d speculate this may be deliberate in that - depending on complexity, Days to load etc doing so could cause loading to bottleneck & lock up requiring the user to terminate the program via Task Manager (certainly a bigger problem back with 7 - I had a macro to automate the whole process with delays, rather than sit there for over 15mins loading sequentially
If you want to open the same multiple workspaces each time you start NT, you can exit without closing & they'll re-open on restart.

    You probably know all this

Well, yeah, if you're up for some editing to your '_Workspaces.xml' file.

This is one of those unsupported tricks, done at your own risk, make sure
you have a backup, etc etc, sort of thing. But, it's simple, and works great.

      -=o=-

Many times I find myself editing '_Workspaces.xml' to achieve the
exact opposite -- that is, after a crash (or a Task Manager kill) I want
to force the next execution of NT to open one single workspace, which
I call BLANK -- so that my NT startups are extremely fast. After startup,
I'll manually open my trading workspace or development workspace, and
      begin my day.

My point is, you could do the opposite. The list of workspaces to open,
whether it be one or many, is maintained in this file.

Thus, you could edit that file, and add a workspace or two, to achieve
      what you're asking.

--- Do This Before Starting NinjaTrader ---

Use a text editor, like Notepad, to open your '_Workspaces.xml' file.

Look for the tag 'OpenWorkspace', duplicate that line and change
the tag data to the additional workspace name you wish to open.
There should be one 'OpenWorkspace' tag for every workspace
name you want NT to open.

The 'ActiveWorkspace' tag identifies the initial workspace that NT
      displays to you on startup.

      That's it!
      You're all done.
Save the file, exit Notepad, start NinjaTrader.

          I see - no - it doesn't support that.

            Hello max1ci6,

            Thanks for your post.

You would only be able to view a single open workspace at a time.

It is possible to open multiple workspaces, however, you would need to switch between the workspaces. There are no supported ways to view/load multiple workspaces at the same time.

This would require modifying the _Workspaces.xml file using unsupported code as bltdavid has mentioned. Note that it would be up to your discretion to use unsupported code to accomplish this.

Please let me know if I may assist further.
