High RAM usage when NT is running in the background

When NT is open and I´m working on some other program the RAM usage of NT is increasing drastically without any obvious reason. When I`m actively working on NT the RAM usage is between 0.5 and 1 gb. When it´s open in the background, it frequently jumps up to 5 gb, which forces other programs to crash. If I realize high RAM usage, the problem can be solved within a minute. I just need to work a bit on a chart and the RAM drops right away.

Why is this happening and how can I stop it?

          Hello Shansen,

Thank you very much for your post.

The issue, in this case, was most likely caused by either a stuck/corrupt Windows update or driver. If this is the same issue affecting you, I would suggest the following steps:
          • Launch Windows Update and install any pending updates therein
          • Install the most recent video card drivers (this might also be available through the Windows Update)
I would also suggest running a "System File Check", this scan will check all of Windows' system files and repair/replace any issues it encounters.

To do this, please launch a Command Prompt by clicking on "Start" and typing "CMD" before pressing enter.

Once open, please type "sfc /scannow", Windows will then check the system files and repair any issues.

Should you still experience any issues, please send me your log & trace files, I can then investigate further.

You can do this by clicking on Help > Email Support.
