makra081, yes unfortunately that would be the case as the server would have seen the connection issues as well and therefore could not record the historical data needed.

          NT,
I am using multi broker NT 7.0.1000.8 and for the last two days have not been able to download historical data for forex futures 6A,6B,6C,6E,6S (trying to download data for the last 2 weeks). I am using AMP futures connection.
Here's the error message that I get:
Error on reloading data: Connection to data server is busy or not available right now. Please try again later. (NotConnected)

and even recieved the following error message after I tried to download the data again this morning:
"Failed to send mail: System.Net.Mail.SmtpException: Service not available, closing transmission channel. The server response was: 4.7.0 Temporary System Problem. Try again later (MU). g9sm41761096qad.16

Btw, real time data connection works fine.
          Please help,
          Thanks,
          Gary

Gary, would you see the same data server connection issue after a fresh reboot of the system? If it persists please also reset the router / connection and then recheck afterwards.

Thanks Bertrand, I will wait till the weekend for a reboot. I shouldn't have any problems due to this issue with my trading correct? Or should I reboot asap?

              Thanks,
              Gary

                Hi Gary,

I'd recommend rebooting as soon as you can just to be on the safe side.

Guys, we finally can update everybody with more details :

Monday morning there was a disruption to normal network activity as one of the primary providers in Chicago experienced a 'Network Event' preventing ZenFire from communicating with some remote users. Interactive Data Senior engineers resolved a network hardware failure and restored service to financial institutions, including ZenFire, prior to the open of the market.

Currently there are no immediate plans to restore historical data for the duration that the ZenFire connection experienced disruption.

Thanks for the update Bertrand. Just wondering, by "one of the primary providers in Chicago," does that mean it was an ISP which was having an issue?

You're welcome Radical, yes one of the larger 'behind the scenes' network providers was unfortunately having issues.
