    Thanks for the updated version snaphook! This weekend I was working quite a bit on writing a strategy and utilizing the various DataSeries values that are available in this indicator. I found a few little typos that were skewing my results and I thought that I would let you know so that you could correct them for future releases:

    Code:

    Line 1015 should be:  wCCIDirectionSeries.Set(-1);
    Line 1116 should have the string: "Vegas Long" instead of "Zero Line Reject Short"
    Line 1155 should be:  wCCIPatternSeries.Set(3);
    Line 1156 should be:  wCCIDirectionSeries.Set(-1);
    Line 1162 should have the string: "Vegas Short" instead of "Zero Line Reject Short"
    Line 1249 should be:  wCCIPatternSeries.Set(4);
    Line 1257 should have the string: "GB100 Long" instead of "Zero Line Reject Short"
    Line 1296 should be:  wCCIPatternSeries.Set(4);
    Line 1297 should be:  wCCIDirectionSeries.Set(-1);
    Line 1304 should have the string: "GB100 Short" instead of "Zero Line Reject Short"
    Line 1390 should be:  wCCIPatternSeries.Set(5);
    Line 1397 should have the string: "Tony Long" instead of "Zero Line Reject Short"
    Line 1434 should be:  wCCIPatternSeries.Set(5);
    Line 1435 should be:  wCCIDirectionSeries.Set(-1);
    Line 1441 should have the string: "Tony Short" instead of "Zero Line Reject Short"

          Hi Snaphook,

          I tried to change couple of times Sideways Color setting from Yellow to some other color, but after I exit NT and start it again, this setting goes back to Yellow.

            Eternum,
            There's one in every crowd. You've got me stumped. I've tried saving it as a template, default template, saving the workspace, and it always comes back as Yellow. I hope one of our professional programmers can figure it out.

            The variables start at about line 133
            The offending code starts at line 527, with the DrawRectangle instruction at line 546
            The Properties start at line 2126

            Help, please.

              In order to make a color 'stick' based on user input, it has to be serialized. Do the same as has already been done for "FamirLimits" (line 2269).

                Many thanks, MJT.

                Done and uploaded as v1.4

                I checked all colors and have serialized them so they should all 'stick' now.

                  Hi Snaphook, hope everything is good with you.

                  I haven't been around for awhile.. Due to problems with one imported indicator, and could not figure out which one, I had to clean up all Ninja Trader and related custom indicators including your very much loved (by me) WCCI forecaster.

                  I downloaded the new version 1.4 but the zip file reads as version 1.2 which was the old version I had and before I import it would like to know if it is ok or it may be something wrong with my registry or something.

                  Any ideas?
                  Thanks

                  Javier

                    Javier,
                    It should be OK. I just downloaded it and the file inside is the right one, but the zip file name is the same as the one I originally uploaded. Odd.

                      Thanks Snap. We live in the land of odd so one more odd thing will not deter our spirit, lol.

                          Snap, I think you just did.. LOL.

                          The zip file label reads: "Snap_CCI Forecaster_1.2". The Compiler indicator window shows it as "CCI Forecaster" and the Indicator window ( I am laughing as I type) shows it as "CCI Patterns Forecaster 1.4".

                          I know what you are trying to do. You just want us to keep our brains sharp and on our toes.
                          You sneaky...

                            CCI Forecaster on 10 Range chart

                            Hi Snaphook

                            I have a situation and I wonder if has happened to you or to another user of your forecaster.
                            As I wrote below I re-installed CCI Forecaster 1.4, which previous version I used on a 10 and 15 range bars charts.

                            There is a remarkable difference in performance between the two frames. Maybe these numbers will give you an idea of what I mean.

                            The 15 range bar chart with all the indicators I use except CCIForecaster1.4 loads and saves in 1-2 seconds. The same chart, with your Forecaster added loads and saves in the same time, 1-2 seconds.

                            Now, the 10 Range chart with the same indicators as the 15 but without CCI Forecaster loads and saves in 1-2 seconds too, with the Forecaster added, it takes 47 to 57 seconds to load and save. Starting up NT also takes 5 times longer. I did not change any of the parameters for this experiment.

                            Also, Ninja performance reduces considerably when I add the Forecaster to the 10 Range bar chart. The plotting of prices slows down, orders take a long time to plot, to be accepted and so on. What I noticed happens, is that the CPU usage goes to 100% and remains there for long slowing the whole process. Please, let me reiterate that it only happens when I add the forecaster to the 10 Range bar, not the 15. I also turned off all switches except LSMA forecaster, to see if it would help, to no avail.

                            What is a big mystery to me probably has a very simple logical answer and I hope you can tell me how to correct it.

                            Thanks in advance for everything, Snap.

                              Problem CCI Data Export

                              Hi Snaphook,

                              First of all I would like to thank you for sharing your programs. I downloaded forecaster 1.3. I've been trying to get the signals from the CCI_Forecaster in the spreadsheet. I have a few problems with it:
                              1) I get the signals for ZLR / Ghost / Vegas / Famir, but not the TonyTrade and GB100.
                              2) Somehow last friday the signals were giving me 159 trades on 1 instrument(without TT and GB100), so almost every bar had a signal (FDAX). Even some ZLR with red SW

                              Is it possible to enter Ghosts on ZLX in stead of the bar where the pattern is originated?

                              Have you got any idea if there is somewhere a strategy for Ninja Trader for your CCI_Forecaster, even if it is only for 1 pattern?

                              Thanks,
                              clint2008

                                Javier,
                                Can you run the same test using the v1.2 Forecaster to see if it has such a hit? Also, going from 15 to 10 can easily double the number of bars to process, but it shouldn't affect it that much, I wouldn't think.
