CCI Pattern Recognition for Woodies

Hi Javier,
how can I plot white and black dots on turbo and CCI.
Help appreciated.

Willyad, sorry for the delay. I just read your quote today.

If you have Snaphook's "CCI_Forecaster_DE" what I do is just go to Forecasters section and switch 'CCI Forecaster, Show as Arrows?' and 'CCI Forecaster, show as dots?' to False and turn 'CCI Forecaster, Show History?' to True. Since you'll probably will have 'CCI periods' set up to 14, that will give you the dot history of the CCI (red and green). For the Turbo, copy down a second "CCI_Forecaster_DE, give it a 'CCI periods" value of 6 (Turbo), turn to False all patterns and Sideways market and other bells and whistles and change the 'Plots' to the color you choose (I have white and black). That should not demand too much additional number crunching from your computer.

thanks for your response.
I have downloaded snaps ver 2.3, posted on 1/27/08.
Is it the same "CCI_Forecaster_DE", you have mentioned?
I was looking at those dots in desert soft charts of woodie and when I saw them in your post, I thought I should explore them.

I believe it is. Snaphook always upgrades the version. Try it and let us know if you get both CCI and Turbo to give you their history with the dots.

Sorry to have to ask, but new here, but where does one download the new version?

Also, I read in an earlier post where someone said one has to use range bars? Is this still correct? Some of the images people have posted don't have tfs showing so can't tell.

Thank you, Bertrand. What do I do? Save it to a file in My Documents and open it? Then what? Or save to a folder in NinjaT program and open there? I don't see a folder in the NinjaT to send zip files to. ???

Please save the file to your desktop and follow those steps below -

1. From the Control Center window select the menu File > Utilities > Import NinjaScript to open the Import NinjaScript dialog window
2. Select the file you want to import
3. Press the "Open" button

Thank you. Worked perfectly. Now if only my charts would show the indicators, I'd be set. I'll ask tomorrow in the class they're giving on Charts what the problem is.

Great - you want to right click on your charts and bring up the Indicators dialog box. Look for the CCI Patterns indicator and doubleclick on it. Then click ok and it should be applied to the charts.

Be sure to set the indicator to show in the same panel as the Woodies CCI.

Ahhh...that was my problem. I had removed the WoodieCCI because I thought the script had it. So I put it back and now everything is showing.

Hi Javier,
Is my CCI Forecaster suppose to be showing arrows? Mine hasn't done that. I'm running it on a 5M and up so maybe that's the reason??? I've opened a few range charts, but don't have many bars yet.

Also, please, how does one "copy down a second "CCI_Forecaster_DE..." Do you mean just install another one?

There should be arrows for momentum change and letters for pattern (Z, G, ...)
