Snap I don't have 1.2 any more but you just gave me an idea. We know that if I remove 1.4 from the 10 Range all goes back to normal. I am going to test removing all other indicators except Woodies and 1.4 and add one by one to see if there is conflict between 1.4 and another one.

    I'll report the findings.

    Thanks

Snaphook, the results of my test are the following:

One workspace, two 15 Range bar charts, TF and NQ, one 10 Range bar chart. All have on the same indicators including CCI Forecaster 1.4, three days backfill on all of them.

15 range bar charts time to OK from Indicator open window = 4-5 seconds
10 range bar chart time to OK from Indicator open window = 37 seconds. I removed two other indicators I had in the previous test.

Then I reduced backfill to 2 days (minimum to get data plotted)
10 Range bar chart time to OK from Indicator open window, reduced to 9 seconds from 37.
So, there is a considerable difference between 2 and 3 days of backfill.
Also, On the 15 I had all switches turned on, and on the 10 I had all turned off except LSMA projector (= lines).

I am not surprised that with all the information that one can get with it, Forecaster would be a CPU demanding Indicator and you have that much more demand on a 10 than a 15. I consider it #1 to what is out there. I'll test it tomorrow with 2 days backfill live and see how it performs but I find this data fascinating.

So, Snap, thanks a bunch for all the excellent work. Maybe these results will serve you if you decide to make it lighter but in any case you have my appreciation and I owe you a few cold beers.

      Good trading, buddy.

        clint2008,
Any way you could shoot me a screen shot(s) by email? Especially the ZLRs w/red SW and signals not showing.. Friday was hectic, but 159 trades is a bit much.

As far as the ghost triggering only on ZLX, I'd have to make a fairly major alteration to the ghost coding and that is not the way Woodies recommends trading them. At this point I recommend just watching and placing an order on the ZLX if that is how you want to trade it.

          Snap,

Let me add more fun. Actually, this is half-question, half-observation regarding ZLR pattern. Please note, I'm still fairly new to Woodies CCI and can be wrong. Let's limit ourselves with ZLR Long for now. From what I understand being in the room and listening to Woodie and other mods, ZLR considered to be valid in this particular case:

          - we have at least three blue bars in CZI
          - after that we can have up to 2 off-colors bars
          - if current CZI bar (after up to two off-color) goes back to blue, pattern is valid for current price bar.

It looks like Forecaster allows just one CZI bar to be off-color, not two. In case of two, it does not recognize pattern as valid (even though CZI predictor shows blue on price bar top). Could you please confirm my observation with Forecaster? If so, do you think you need to change it to accomodate two off-color bars in CZI?

            Snap,

One more thing I noticed. YM finished Sep 22 session as sideways market. Starting from Sep 23 9:30am Forecaster still shows YM in sideways market. I believe sideways mode needs to be dropped with every new trading session.

              Hi Snap,
Is the Excel spreadsheet (Data Export 2.0) at

the latest and greatest or have you made changes/updates since leaving the Woodies forum?

Would you be willing to attach the latest Excel Data Export Spreadsheet to this forum or to the Data Export indicator?

                Hi Snap:
                A little update.
Today I used two day backfilled charts and NT was much more responsive than with three day. Still when the action is fast and furious, order fills get slowed down for a few seconds and that is a bit scary. Other than that, Forecaster works very well.

                Thank you snap

thank you for your wonderfull work.
Do you plan to integrate Price Projections?

                      Sideways Market Rectangle

                      Hi Snap;

For the first time I am going to try the sideways indicator, the rectangle, I believe, but don't see where the switch True/False for the rectangle is. The only I see if Khaki color so I assume is for something else. How do I turn it on?

                      Thanks

                      Javier

Sorry about being a bit unresponsive. Let me see if I can catch up.

                        Eternum,
Ther Forecaster actually rates the degree of change in the CZI. The actual CZI values range from 4 to -4, cyan to red. The Forecaster looks at 3, 5, 6, 7, and 8 bar periods. It then signals a ZLR if any of those values are equal to or exceed 11, 16, 18, 22, and 24 respectively. Rarely will it miss a ZLR and then that ZLR will have had a substantial retrace. It will allow 2 and possibly 3 off color bars if the dip is very minor.

                        CZI Values:
                        Cyan 4
                        DarkGreen 3
                        DarkSeaGreen 2
                        Lime 1
                        Yellow 0
                        Gold -1
                        Orange -2
                        OrangeRed -3
                        DarkRed -4

If you have bars 4,4,4,3,3 a ZLR will still trigger, however 4,4,4,3,0 will not trigger a ZLR.

Perhaps Sideways Marlets should restart over session periods, but all the other patterns use cross session CCI values, so I made SM do the same.

                        LG,
Let me check to see if I have upgraded the spreadsheet, and if so, I'll post a new Data Export with the sheets included.

                        Javier,
If you set the "Sideways mkt, show patterns?" parameter to true, you will see the rectangle and patterns. If set to the default false, you will neither see the patterns nor the rectangle, just the SIDEWAYS MARKET alert in the top right of the panel.

As far as speed, I have yet to figure out why the load times increase exponentially with bars loaded.

                          Spreadsheet

Unfortunately the spreadsheets are too large and exceed the NT file size restrictions. I have updated the files at:

You can download them from there.

panel 1 34 ema and lsma color change

                            Hi there,

I figured I would double check in the Woodie section before contacting a ninja script consultant. I was hoping there was an indicator with an option/script for the 34 ema and the lsma (linreg) that change color if greater than price or less than price on chart (panel 1 on price bar). I was able to utilize the double ma multi color indicator for the 34 ema but still am in search of a color changing indicator for the 25 linreg.

                            Thanks so much.

                            Debbie

                                loading the ninja script

                                hi,

this is my 1st post here, and 1st time installing NT

                                i just downloaded CCIPatternRecognitionDataExporter.zip and Snaps_CCI_Forecaster_v1.2.zip

                                a few questions

1)which one should I import into NT 1st?..or does it not matter?
2)Do i need to like set in in the same panel 2 as the native wcci?
                                3)Snaps_CCI_Forecaster_v1.4= wcci pattern recognition only?
4)CCIPatternRecognitionDataExporter=functions only to export stats data to csv file?

                                thank you for any help.
