It seems that no matter what moving I use the periodicity
of the bars MUST be small. I didn't think that was necessary
    here but it still is.

Using 5 second bars a rough estimate to mimic 1 minute bars
(using the color coding of course) might be:

    SMA, SMMA, 5, 10

If I use 1 minute bars the price won't be reflected in the bar/candle
    in a strong trend.

I might check out the other indicators you like as well. Is there something
that HeikenAshiSmoothed doesn't do well at all, that you need several
    other indicators?

Right now its not on my charts at all, but I'm also not trading at the moment either, just making pretty charts and staring at them, lol.

The reason for other indicators would be confirmation.

        Pretty is nice.

Actually I'm wrong again tough, the candles just won't track
with a 5 second periodicity and a long moving average.

Elliot great job on this indicator. im trying to figure out how blue and red are triggered. from what i think im seeing is that there are 4 calculations per moving average and when the 2 ma cross it'll dictate red or blue is that correct?

            I looked at this recently.

I couldn't wrap my head around price bars that didn't reflect price. I am not talking about the HA method of calculating, but the smoothing part seemed to really just move things out of whack.

If I am wrong here let me know, but it seemed that some of the bars were not close to actual price when you look at the time of the bar.

You are right, which is why it LOOKS amazing, but the reality, as it always is with trading, is different.

If you use the candle drawing options you can just color the normal candles (to see reality) or draw both, in which case it can be used like a combo moving average with Candles as opposed to just a line. I think its more useful that way.

I looked at this a few days ago and THOUGHT I found something awesome.
Unfortunately when one uses this method there are times when the market
will move sharply up/down and the HeikenAshi won't follow. Whether it's this
method or even just generic HeikenAshi.

To instantly know what the price is on a HeikenAshi I
wonder if anyone has since a script that will do what
I have shown in the image attachment? The script actually has
nothing to do with HeikenAshi, but will show the price at every
moment without delay with a horizontal line going across the
                  screen.

What are the 2 MA field for?
And what are these Period 1 and 2 for as well?

Im trying to make it look like the HAMA i have on MT4, so I guess these are the values to change.

                        Thanks.

                          Giovanoti

Thanks. I saw the video. It might have some usefulness.
Maybe with Renko bars. The NT software always defaults to
"calculate on bar close" which might have been the original
problem I had with not seeing the real price on a generic
                          HeikenAshi. Can't recall now.

                          Thanks again,

Anyone saw what the 2 lines above/below the HAMA are in MT4's HAMA pad system?

It seems to be some kind of moving average of the HAMA.

For example in this picture. Just ignore the text from the picture, its not my picture.

Request to enhance the HK candles

Hi, I think it will be great if Elliott Wave's HK implimentation can be modified to actually show true length of Wicks of the HK candles. I do like HK but when you use them since the wicks above/below candles are not for the actual price movement for the candle so it is impossible to draw trend lines/support lines etc. I did look at the option to plot both true/HK candles, but it makes the charts cluttered and distracts from the price action. Also the option to use the regular candles with HK colors, although helpful but does not help to use HK at its best. There is definitely a huge benefit to actually see HK body candles, since they contract and expand indicating impending reversal. And adding the option to actually show a regular wick will achieve both the purpose of showing HK colors and body contractions, as well as being able to draw trend/support/resistance lines on the chart since now you have the true sized wicks. This could be option "4" to Elliott's attached implimentation where one can specify HK bodies but true wick sizes. Can anyone please help to modify the attached EW's file to add above option to show true wick sizes?
