Forex Data Problems

Hi,

I have just set up an IB connection on NT looking to chart and trade Forex but have now discovered all these issues with IB Forex data.

What is a reasonable solution to the Forex data issue? Do I have to subscribe and pay for another supplier of Forex Data to get trouble free charting of Forex? Does Kinetick work?

Any suggestions appreciated.

Yes, you can connect to a supported data feed provider such as Kinetick. As per NinjaTrader 7, our preferred market data service is Kinetick. Real time service starts as low as $50 per month. If you trade CME Globex products, you can have these exchange fees waived if you have a qualified brokerage account. This service is only available for NinjaTrader 7. IB Forex not updating

I have both Kinetick and an IB Connection as suggested. Historic data [Kinetick] is presented but my Forex charts are not updating.Any clues?

I actually have three connections in the following order
ZenFire - Kinetick - IB

I am using Zenfire for futures.
I am using Kinetick for Forex History
and
I want to use IB for the current pricing.

Thanks for clarifying.

In this case, I'd first like you to confirm that real-time forex data is available when connected only to IB. Assuming that it is, you'll want to connect in the following order:
1.) Zen-Fire
2.) Interactive Brokers
3.) Kinetick

Well I changed the order as suggested and the bars are now updating but showing big gaps as expected.

So is this a Kinectick issue?

Could you provide an image of your chart so that I can test with the same setup here and compare results? There can be differences between data providers, especially when it comes to forex data, however I would need to test before I'm able to help to determine why you're seeing gaps.
