Passing a variable from OnBarUpdate into OnExecutionUpdate

Hello,

I am somewhat new to NinjaScript and I am trying to find a way to pass a variable value from OnBarUpdate into the SubmitOrderUnmanaged housed within the OnExecutionMethod. How can I acheive this?

Thanks for your post.

The double variable would need to be set up as a private class-level double variable. A value could then be assigned to the class-level variable in OnBarUpdate() and used in OnExecutionUpdate().

See lines 33 and 34 in the SampleMACrossover strategy that comes default with NinjaTrader for an example of creating class-level variables. These lines of code demonstrate creating a private class-level SMA variable. You would create a private class-level double variable instead of an SMA variable.

To view the script, open a New > NinjaScript Editor window, open the Strategies folder, and double click on the SampleMACrossover file.

Thanks for the reply! This dawned on me shortly after asking the question. I am coming from EasyLanguage via TradeStation so familiar with 80% of the logic/syntax just not the NinjaScript specifics. With that my strategy is complete.
