hold a variable
how do you hold onto a variable you grabbed at [0] in an on bar close environment when [0] is always changing?Tags: None

Hi trader, that will take more C# code, it depends on when you need to reset it. The code needs to be wrapped around an IF statement that must become true for the variable to change. e.g.
if(<condition to update variable>)
{
storageVariable = Close[0];
}
One example would be keeping track of the highest high seen during the lifetime of the script.
double MaxValue = -1;
OnBarUpdate()
{
if(High[0] > MaxValue)
MaxValue = High[0];
}
