Hello Community,
This is a commonly requested example for the Strategy Builder so I've made a similar script still locked for editing with the strategy builder.

Hello mrlucky1x,
No, the reference samples in the help guide do not open with the strategy builder. These are code samples that include custom comments and open in the NinjaScript Editor.
New > NinjaScript Editor > in the explorer pane on the right double click to expand the Strategies folder > double click to open SampleScaleOut.

Is the "SampleScaleOut_NT8" supposed to work in Strategy Builder because when I imported it I didn't see it listed or is it simply code snippet showing the syntax to use in a manually created strategy?

Hello mrlucky1x,
The Strategy Builder 301 course reviews all properties and options in the Strategy Builder. It is not meant to teach logic. It does show how signal names and from entry signals work at 52 minutes 40 seconds.
Are you finding the SampleScaleOut_NT8 reference sample I have provided a link to is not providing an adequate example of scaling out of a position?

OK thanks. This is a good start but it really doesn't demonstrate how to set this up. The video you linked to doesn't show how to do this even though its supposed to be a 301 course.

Hello mrlucky1x,
This would be done by having 3 entry orders with 3 different signal names, and 3 different exit orders or stop losses each tied to the from entry signal of one of the entries.
The Strategy Builder 301 course discusses signal names but doesn't demonstrate creating a strategy that utilizes multiple signal names.
Below is a public link.
There is however a reference sample on scaling out of a position in the help guide.

How do you set Strategy builder to scale out at profit targets?
How do I set up Strategy builder to scale out of a 3 contract order? Say close 1 @ 5 ticks, close 1 @ 15 ticks and trail 1 at 25 ticks? Do you have a video somewhere showing ows to set this up with SBuilder?
