Also, when I hit buy on a market the order was immediately filled but I did not have any positions opened, however I am freely capable of selling even though I hold no position on the market? Is that normal?

A few questions?
Hello all, I am new to trading. Actually, everything just went through tonight and I was looking around to try to explore the program and utilizing the youtube tutorials. When I was following along I noticed my superDOM wasn't loading any data. Is there a way to fix that?

Hello Kight,
Can you please tell me to what data feed/broker you connect in NinjaTrader. What instrument (+ expiry month) do you have selected in the SuperDOM? Do you receive realtime data if you select the ES 03-17 or FDAX 03-17?
I am not sure why no position is shown after the market order filled. Could it be you were already in a position and the market order closed this position? What instrument do you trade when no position is shown? Do you see positions in the Control Center-->Positions-tab?

I am talking about just any futures market. Currently I have an open trade on M6E 03-17 and it isn't populating. The only data connection I am using is Ninja trader continuum, and global simulation mode is off.
I can see the positions on the aforementioned market. how do I know if the data i am seeing is real time or not?

I thought it replied, sorry for the delay. No, the superDOM doesn't load any prices or anything. It is just there when it opens. I have noticed that none of my data refreshes itself constantly either. I have to load historical data to get any recent data. Maybe I should submit a trouble ticket?

Yes, please send us an email at platformsupport[at]ninjatrader[dot]com including your log and trace files. Log and trace files can be found at the following locations. Right click the log and trace folder and select Send to-->Compressed (zipped) folder. Subsequently attach both .zip files in your email. Please put 'Att Jason, 1669785' in the subject field of your email.
