    The case has been solved by a person from NinjaTrader on linkedin.

    The problem is that although the incoming folder has the writing options available / activate you need to go further into the advance settings and set it up depending on the windos version the person is using

      Hello holguinmora,

      This case has been escalated to me and I will be assisting moving forward.

      From your last post, this appears to be an issue with the computer and Windows file system and is not an issue with the NinjaTrader Platform is this correct?

      As a heads up, NinjaTrader will need to write, read, and remove it's files from all folders in the Documents\NinjaTrader 8\ folder to function.

        Chelsea hi, the problem is with NinjaTrader configuration as NinjaTrader creates the folders inside Windows and manually the ussers must change the configuration of the folders that Ninjatrader creates.

        Please take a close look about the answers provide by Emyly that where completely wrong, misleading and incorage to look to for help into thirdparties as the brokers when there was any issues with the brokers....

        As the case shows up, having people like her only results in a huge amount of frustation and huge lost of time....

        And if you add the service provide by Emily to the lack of options to connect to services like AWS, Azure or GCP for data and information processing as Metatrader has things don't look good at all.

        Finally could I get a link to rate this case and hoping to help the community to get into this kind of situations

          Hello holguinmora,

          When NinjaTrader installs and creates the Documents\NinjaTrader 8\ folder this should have all of the correct permissions and should not require any manual changes.
          Once we've checked all NinjaTrader settings are correct and that NinjaTrader has been restarted, and had you test with a test OIF file we've tested on our end and know is working, this would have let us know that NinjaTrader is setup correctly and the issue may be with this specific computer itself. This may have led us to directing you to consult with a professional computer repair specialist to check the windows installation and file system.
          In general we follow a process of elimination to make sure we check everything involved on the NinjaTrader side of things, one at a time to ensure the platform does not have an issue.

          We would expect the folder permissions to be correct when first installing NinjaTrader out-of-the-box.
          To test, I've uninstalled and deleted the Documents\NinjaTrader 8\ folder and then re-installed, and then checked all of the permissions which appear to be setup correctly.

          Just to confirm there is not an issue with the installer, may I have you test creating a clean environment folder and then test for the behavior?
          1. Shutdown NinjaTrader
          2. Rename (My) Documents\NinjaTrader 8\ to (My) Documents\NinjaTrader 8.original\
          3. Download the NinjaTrader installation package from the link below
          4. NinjaTrader - Download
          5. Run the repair from this (if the repair is unsuccessful, uninstall and then re-install NinjaTrader)
          This will recreate the NinjaTrader 8 folder in (My) Documents.​

          Then please check for the behavior and let me know if the newly created folder is experiencing the same symptoms.
