    Ninja Trader 8 "Failed to verify license. Please try again in a few minutes."

    Hi Team,

    I am from Tamilnadu, India.

    I recently start using Ninja Trader 8. From the beginning I am getting the below error.
    The technical team tried all the ways possible but unable to sort it out. When I connected to a Mobile Hotspot, it was working fine.
    So the team advised me to contact my Internet Service Provider. I did the same but they are asking me the IP address of the Application so that they can look into it further.

    Do anyone know it can help me out. Thanks!!!

    Which version of NinjaTrader?

    Do you have a firewall installed?

    Which anti-virus are you using?

      Ninja Trader 8 (64-bit) Version 8.0.25.0
      I am using Windows 11 Pro default firewall. Dont have any other firewall.
      I dont use any anti-virus

        That's a relatively old version of NinjaTrader.

        How come you have such an older version
        if you just 'recently' started using NinjaTrader?

        Where did you get your license key from?

          You'll probably need to email NT support, sending them your
          log and trace files.

          To know to what IP address your NT8 is trying to connect to
          (due to your location in India) to verify the license key would
          best be achieved with something like wireshark, or some other
          kind of network monitoring tool
          .

            Thanks for posting.


            I would first recommend updating the platform. To update to the latest version of NinjaTrader Desktop please follow the steps below.
            • Login into the NinjaTrader Account Dashboard
            • Click "Download" in the bottom left-hand corner of the sidebar
            • Next select "Download" in the "Most Recent Release" Window in the main screen
            • Once the installation had downloaded, ensure any previous version of NinjaTrader is closed before running the installation package.
              • Note: You may need to locate this in your "Downloads" folder in a Windows File Explorer

            If this does not resolve this item, please send me your log and trace files so that I may look into what occurred by going to the Control Center-> Help-> Email Support. Please ensure 'Log and Trace Files' is checked to include these files. This is checked by default.
