I was hoping to trade Futures with NT8 from my Schwab. I used to connect to TD to trade stocks before, and I have a prop firm license. I was able to view the stock charts from my Schwab account in NT8. I can't do that anymore. I want to know why does it need the additional fee now when it didn't need it before.

No, trading futures on Schwab was not the intent. I meant Schwab stocks and ETFs data availability to NT platform as we had with the old connection API.

If your Schwab account is not visible in the Control Center > Accounts tab after connecting, please ensure you are subscribed to the Multi-Broker Add-On on your NinjaTrader Account Dashboard. This add-on is required to view or trade your Schwab account within NinjaTrader.

Additionally, Legacy license key holders who were able to connect to supported 3rd party brokers will have the proper entitlements to connect, see, and trade the live 3rd party brokerage account on NinjaTrader version 8.1. On NinjaTrader version 8.0, a paid Lease or Lifetime license key was required to connect and trade any 3rd party brokerage accounts. As version 8.1 does not require a license key, new users would need to purchase the Multi Broker add-on to see and trade the live account after connecting. This add-on replaced the need to purchase a Lease or Lifetime license key in March of 2023. If you were previously able to trade your 3rd party brokerage account on the NinjaTrader platform, you do not need to purchase Multi Broker and you should have an existing license key. If you have a license key for TDA but cannot see your live account after connecting, please make sure that you have imported your license key to your NinjaTrader username.

Please let us know if you have any further questions or need assistance with the subscription/importing of license key process. We’re happy to help!

NinjaTrader_RyanS Please confirm that: If you already made a one-time purchase of NT software in the past and currently have a Mutli-Broker Live license you should not be paying $99 per month.

Has anyone here actually was able to use Schwab data from the new NT8.1.4 version for intraday charts and place any trades (Sim, or Live) in a Schwab account?

    Thanks!

I was able to get the connection to Schwab to work but my account wouldn't show up in the Control Center. In the release notes I now see that it says: "Trading to Schwab requires the Multiple Broker add-on, available within the Plans section of the Client Dashboard.".

It looks like the Multiple Broker Add-On for Desktop Platform is $99 a month. So now we have to spend $99 a month to be able to use the Schwab connection???? Ninja Support please respond to this.

I see it now. Sorry. Did you have to take a backup of NT8??

As mentioned we are getting the new TDA/Schwab adapter ready for release in the next version of the platform, at which time these threads will be updated. Currently we are in the final stages of testing for this adapter and hope to have it launched soon. This broker will continue to be supported once this version comes out as any other 3rd party brokerage is currently supported.

We apologize for the delay and thank you all for your patience as we finalize this release.
Thank you! Is there an estimate when the next version will be released?
