    Hello Marble,

    Thank you for your post.

There are two current versions of NinjaTrader, which depend on whether you are using 8.1 or 8.0. So I may accurately assist you, please answer all of the following questions:
    • What version of NinjaTrader are you using? Please provide the entire version number. This can be found under Help -> About (Example: 8.?.?.?)
    • If you press F5 on your keyboard for the Compile shortcut, does anything happen?
    • If you right-click the NinjaScript Editor, is Compile also disabled in the menu or is it available for you to click on?
I look forward to your reply.

This version under Help indicates 8.0.28.0 Safe Mode 64-bit
And Tools-Import is not showing Import addon, etc
      F5 does not affect anything.

        Hello Marble,

        Thank you for your reply.

Safe Mode disables access to custom NinjaScripts, so that is why you are not seeing any option to import and compile is disabled. Please close NinjaTrader and launch it from the icon called "NinjaTrader" and not "NinjaTrader (Safe Mode)" and this should resolve this item.

Please let us know if we may be of further assistance.

          Now compile is available.

I am concerned facing assmbly file not found error that causes NT crash previously.
          1) How can I be sure all currrently added files are all issue free (in other word compiled without error)
          2) How can I spot the file in case assembly file error occured? (i could not locate the file previously because .cs file was mentioned was not found)
          3) Once I closed error, file name was never shown. How to redisplay the file name causing error for assemble file?

Please follow the instructions below to see if there are any errors or if your scripts compile successfully:
            • Open NinjaTrader (not in Safe Mode)
            • From the Control Center select the New menu--> select NinjaScript Editor
            • Right-click in the window and select Compile to compile all NinjaScript objects
            • At the bottom of the NinjaScript Editor window, a new section will appear where you can find the error locations (if there are any errors)
              • If there are no errors, a chime sound will play when the compiling animation completes in the bottom-left corner of the NinjaScript Editor
            • You can exclude the file referenced in the editor by double-clicking on the appropriate object type on the right of the NinjaScript Editor window. This will expand the object type folder. You can then select the file with a left-click--> right-click on the object--> then select Open to begin debugging the file, Exclude From Compilation, or Remove to delete the file.
If you are unsure as to what the error is indicating, please send me a screenshot of the NinjaScript File column and Error column fully visible (not to be confused with the Code column)
            • To send a screenshot with Windows 7 or newer I would recommend using Windows Snipping Tool.
            • Alternatively to send a screenshot press Alt + PRINT SCREEN to take a screenshot of the selected window. Then go to Start--> Accessories--> Paint, and press CTRL + V to paste the image. Lastly, save as a jpeg file and send the file as an attachment.
We have also collected more comprehensive steps for resolving NinjaScript programming errors in this tip in our Help Guide:You also asked "3) Once I closed error, file name was never shown. How to redisplay the file name causing error for assemble file?" If there are no errors, there is no way to re-display the file name. It will only appear if there is an error when compiling.

Please let us know if we may be of further assistance.
