Windows Updates causing NT8.1.x to generate new machine ID - unstable domino effect

Please add my vote, too. Software that some people use as their primary source of income should not tie its licensing model and that of its plugin ecosystem to something completely outside of its control.

Bought a new computer july 2024. Installed NT8 with a new machine ID for NT8.
Had since then several updates on W11 but the machine ID is still identical to the initial ID.
I have one 3th party tool (for exporting indicator values) that is still working without any problem.
So are windows updates really causing NT8 to generate new machine ID?
Hard to believe for me, based on my personal experience. Why do I not have that problem???
I start up my computer on a daily basis, sometimes even more than once a day, so that would be over 150 startups and never a different machine ID.

It would depend on what type of update. If the BIOS was updated, you might expect a new machine ID.
