    Version for Windows Server

    Hello,

    I need support to make work any version 8.1 in Windows Server.

    I tried 8.1.1.1, 8.1.1.3 and 8.1.1.6 and none of them works in Windows Server 2019 or even 2022.

    After login, the NT login window disappears without launch the application.

    Thank you for your post.

    Windows 8 is no longer supported.
    Minimum PC Requirements to use NinjaTrader 8 (Desktop) are listed here: https://support.ninjatrader.com/s/ar...language=en_US

    If you are using Windows Server 2012 or later 64-bit, but still can't run the NinjaTrader platform on it, please email us your log and trace files at Support[AT]NinjaTrader[DOT]com and explain the issue, following steps below:
    • Then navigate to, "Documents" > 'NinjaTrader 8' folder
    • Right-click on the 'log' and 'trace' folders and select Send To> Compressed (zipped) Folder.
    • Send the 2 compressed folders as attachments to this email.
    • Once complete, you can delete these compressed folders.

      Maybe your provider doesn't have the right setup. My VPS is on Windows Server 2016 and works perfectly with both 8.0.28 and 8.1.1.6

        No one has mentioned Windows 8 here. The OP is asking about NinjaTrader 8.1 on Windows Server versions 2019 or 2022.

            The weird thing is that the version 8.0 works fine, but none version 8.1, and I need this last version to setup Tradovate account through Apex.

                Just use the Apex tradovate account using version 8.0.28. I use that everyday for my Apex tradovate account with no problems.

                  I'm receiving login error when I try to connect with tradovate/apex credentials in version 8.0.

                  I thought was due the old NT 8.0 I was using.

                  I'll contact the Apex because something maybe wrong with my account.

                        I just gave up on version 8.1 and used version 8.0.28 as backtester831​ recommended and is working fine.

                          This thread is a bit out-dated, but I feel that I should add from experience.

                          This is typical of a faulty installation. A repair or reinstallation is required. NT8 works fine on all Windows.

                          We have ready-made templates with NinjaTrader on our servers, if you are interested.
