V.28 release - is Drawing Tool fixed?

Hello,
v27.1 added Feature - Draw lines at 45 degree increments.
It didn’t work out of the box, which I reported, it was confirmed & given a tracking number.
I see v.28 released. There is no ref. in the Release Notes to this having been fixed.

Please advise if fixed in v.28 or not.

The Feature # is in the Release Notes, surely your reporting links tracking # to Feature #.
I reported it, ChelseaB confirmed the behaviour and created tracking number.
Ask ChelseaB. Why am I being asked to find it/do the work for a feature that is released without QA, doesn’t work, I have to waste time finding that to be so, report it and now this. Search my name/posts and find it yourself.

I’m not apologetic if this comes across abrupt, but really?

Thanks for your note.

I requested the tracking number you were provided with to confirm that I am looking into the correct reported behavior.

That said, it seems the tracking number was NT-2753. A fix for this behavior was implemented in NinjaTrader 8 version 8.1.1.2.

Note that all bug fixes will be implemented in NinjaTrader 8.1, not in NinjaTrader 8.0.28.0.

To update NinjaTrader to 8.1 (8.1.1.5), you can follow the steps below.

• Shutdown all programs including NinjaTrader *important
• Download NinjaTrader from the link below
  • Click here to download NinjaTrader
• Double click the downloaded file to execute it
• Follow the on screen instructions
• Restart NinjaTrader

This is really an appalling policy that spurns a customer-centric approach to business. Even when NT 8 was introduced, NT 7 was updated regularly for a long period before entering "no further support". It also contradicts the commitment from NinjaTrader_Ray that NT 8.0.x.x would be supported well into the foreseeable future!

This disdainful policy treats customers with contempt and needs to be abandoned in favour of maintaining the 8.0.x.x code stream as users (and particularly customers who have purchased licences) have every right to expect.

It’s just sickening.
You name it - policy, quality of updates, delivery, customer service, attitude to customer base - Ninjatrader can be assured to get it ‘wrong’ (imho….. It is at the least, disingenuous, false-speaking).

Let’s step away and look at this in simple terms: there are a multitude of reasons not least the total fiasco of the 8.1 rollout, but broader than that, and why NINJATRADER acquiesced on forced migration to 8.1in continuing to support 8.0.

NT introduced a Feature (basic platform functionality lacking for years) in .27, do so without testing and it doesn’t do the simple basic thing it is supposed to, this is confirmed, and the fix is implemented in 8.1 but deliberately NOT applied to a subsequent 8.0 (the version in which the Feature was introduced) release which Ninja claims it will be continuing to support.

I managed without the Feature for years & can continue to do so.

I contribute on issues such as this (in this case started with pitiful untested release of a Feature) constructively in the hope of improvement (it’s woefully unacceptable imho, and never any sign of recognition or acceptance of that, thanks and apologies for wasting your time, should do better).

There’s the correct way to go about things which is to update such fixes (of Ninja’s own failings in the first place) in the version introduced (.0.27) in parallel with 8.1 which is what they (hollow) claim their policy to be, and this, what they’re doing.

And if you wanted an example of why I resist coercion to swap to 8.1 they’re here in abundance every single day
