    IB TWS + NT - Datafeed Incorrect - Time Issue!?

    Hello,

    Can someone point out what i have done wrong here? I solved this problem about 2 years ago, but a new install has landed me in the same situation, and i cant for the life of me remember how to fix it. I remember it was something to do with timezones.

    I have NT setup with the datafeed from IB TWS Application. Data feed is up, its green.

    Its pulling yesterdays data, and then starting from immediate data, no historical data from today.

    I have the NT Timezone as UTC-5, and the IB TWS as UTC-5.

    I have deleted all data, i have removed all indicators, i have a brand new build.I refreshed historical data, i am on TWS recommended version 10.19.1k & NT 8.0.27.1 .

    Thank you for your post.

    So I may accurately assist you, please answer all of the following questions:
    • What version of NinjaTrader are you using? Please provide the entire version number. This can be found under Help -> About (Example: 8.?.?.?)
    • What instrument symbol (and expiry if applicable) have you selected? For example, ES 03-22, AAPL, EURUSD, etc.
    • (For a chart) what interval is selected? For example, 5 minute, 1 day, 2000 volume, 4 Renko, etc.
    • Do you receive an error on the screen? Are there errors on the Log tab of the Control Center? If so, what do these errors report?
    This does not appear to be related to timezones or the build of TWS; thank you for confirming that you are using the recommended version. I suggest also reviewing your API settings as shown in the screenshots in the connection guide here:

      No errors



      I suggest also reviewing your API settings as shown in the screenshots in the connection guide here:

        I would like to review your diagnostic files for additional information. Please send me your log and trace files so that I may look into what occurred.

        You can do this by going to the Control Center-> Help-> Email Support

        Ensuring 'Log and Trace Files' is checked will include these files. This is checked by default.​ Please include "ATTN Emily C" in the subject line along with a link to this forum thread in the body of the email.

        I look forward to resolving this item with you.

            Hi Fellow Traders,

            Can anyone help with this?

            NT Support team have been unable to fix it.

            Specific Problem

            Ninjatrader pulls data from the previous days without problem.
            But for the current day, it only pulls data from the moment that the chart was loaded into Ninjatrader.
            If i refresh the chart, reload data, switch charts etc - the chart resets. It loads all previous days fine, but for todays data it only loads starting with the current candle.

            I have attached some files.
            SPY Chart from TWS Showing the real data
            SPY Chart from NT with red arrow which highlights that NT data only starts for the candle which i loaded the chart on
            (Both charts are 1m charts and are roughly the same time period for comparison)

                I don't use IB but I have had issues before with data not loading correctly. I was able to resolve it by Disconnecting from data service, then going to Tools -> Historical Data and then deleting everything under Instrument. Then close NT8 and check your db folder under Documents/NinjaTrader 8 for any files remaining. May want to check the minute folder to see if there are files that are not being cleaned up.
