It seems your PC clock is delayed. Do you notice a delay when you compare your PC clock with another time source (watch, clock, etc) as well? If it lags, it is likely related to the battery of your motherboard. Please renew the battery of your motherboard and check if the PC clock is in sync with other time sources. If so, check if the delay persists.
I sync my clock with an atomic clock in Germany & my PC is a brand new mid - High end 13Gen Intel

Yes I do notice a slight delay when comparing to website time.is and do not know how to rectify this, does your PC lag time.is at all

I have attempted everything I can to get my PC clock as accurate as possible

I would have thought that if my PC clock is delayed it would lessen the ms delay recorded by the indicator??? If my pc is slower and data is coming in faster the delay should read less right?

If it where to be my PC clock do you have any idea how I would be able to sync it perfectly, it is a brand new Mid-High end PC

    Thanks again.

Can you please follow the steps below to manually attach your log and trace files in an email, so I can investigate.
      • Open the Documents-->NinjaTrader 8 folder.
      • Right-click on the 'log' and 'trace' folders and select Send To> Compressed (zipped) Folder.
      • Attach 2 compressed folders in your email.
      • Send the email to "support[AT]ninjatrader[DOT]com". Put 'Att Jason, 03808986' in the subject field of your email.
      • Once complete, you can delete these compressed folders.

I have not experienced a higher lag than 150ms on my end so far. My PC clock is in sync.

        Hi NinjaTrader_Jason

I am finding this a little strange as now both the Continum & Kinetick data feeds are consistently below 100ms but I am seeing a positive value

I also have a different indicator that displays the ms for more accuracy

        ChartLagMeasurementV1.1.zip

My PC clock is CONSISTENTLY ahead of my Chart Bar Timer by eye, by almost a second

        I am confused

I have attached log and trace files to an email to you.

        Thank you for your assistance.

          Hi NinjaTrader_Jason

I've been getting consistently less than 150's ms now so I'll monitor it and see how it goes and will report back if I start getting any major lag again, but this tends to occur around US Session open so it may come back again tomorrow

To kind of change the subject though, an interesting thing I've found with NT8 is that it doesn't seem to handle live data as well as NT7.
When the initial release of 8.1 came out I was able to connect both 8.0.27.1 & NT7 to my Continuum data feed simultaneously and recognized instantly that NT7 handles the data faster than NT8, I did post a Gif video here somewhere on a different thread.

I just connected my IQFeed trial to NT7 & NT8 and again found the same thing to be true, NT8 lagging NT7 marginally

I also connected the same IQFeed to both NT8.0.27.1 & MultiCharts and MultiCharts clearly ticks ahead of NT8 (the vast majority of the time) where NT8 filters some ticks out or misses some ticks along the way, it also beats NT7.

I've always noticed that something in NT8 slows down the data compared to NT7 and other platforms, it would be great if NT could rectify this.

Also with the IQFeed data the ChartLagTimeV3 indicator does not function as it is supposed to, it swings wildly from 100ms to 3 seconds + then back to 100ms then up to 2 sec, why I do not know with Continuum & Kinetick it doesn't do this.

The ChartLagMeasurementV1.1 seems to be more consistent

Thanks for your assistance, & hopefully I don't have to come back again tomorrow with the same issue

Sounds good, please let me know if you experience a lag of 2 seconds again.

If you run NinjaTrader 8 in safe mode, do you experience the lag compared to NinjaTrader 7? Safe Mode will prevent NinjaTrader from:
            • Loading workspaces.
            • Connecting on start-up.
            • Loading custom assemblies.
            • Getting instrument updates from the server.
To enable safe mode, please use the following steps:
            • Exit NinjaTrader.
            • Hold the Ctrl (Control) key and double click the NinjaTrader icon.
            • Keep the Ctrl (Control) key held down until you see the Control Center.
            • You can verify you are in safe mode by going to Help -> About.
Once in safe mode, please create a T&S window and check the realtime data you receive.

Make sure to not save the workspace when you exit NinjaTrader or it will overwrite the workspace.

              Hi NinjaTrader_Jason

All seems to be OK now, since your email correspondence I've been able to stabilize my PC clock and am consistently seeing data more in line with what I would expect to see

I'll continue to keep an eye on it and see how it goes, I haven't been able to assess the Overnight vs US RTH as yet but have a feeling it should be OK

I thank you very much for your assistance,

I appreciate the time and effort you put in and the persistence you displayed while assisting me with this matter to achieve a positive outcome in the end.

              Thank you & Best Regards.
