    Application unable to open

    Hello, I downloaded NT8 through parallels on my Mac. When I try to open the application, I receive an error message that states, "Unable to connect to DB: unable to open database file". What can I do to run the application successfully?

    Thank you very much for your post and welcome to the NinjaTrader forums!

    This error most commonly occurs if Parallels has been set up to share the Documents folder between macOS and Windows. To resolve this, please disable this feature:
    1. Start Parallels and select your virtual machine
    2. Press the "Configure" button on the top
    3. Under "Options", select "Sharing"
    4. Uncheck "Share Mac" under "Share Mac User Folders with Windows"
    5. Press "OK" and start the virtual machine
    ​After changing this setting, you likely have to reinstall NinjaTrader, as the Documents folder is reset.

    Should you still encounter issues after changing this setting, please don't hesitate to let us know!
