    NT 8 Can't connect to Kinetick or IQFEed

    Good Morning,


    No Kinetick Connection possible. Tried IQFEed as well.

    My Kinetick says : Unable to read Server IP addresses.
    The same is with Kinetick "end of day" connection.

    Restarted Router and checked DSL connection. All working. Other trading SW is working. Rithmic Connection. IB.

      Hello Trader108,

      I'm able to reproduce the issue on my end. I'm not able to connect to Kinetick (EOD) in NinjaTrader nor am I able to connect in the IQFeed client. I experience the same connection error.

      We are working on resolving the issue. Once there is news regarding the matter, we will post it in this forum thread.

        Hello Trader108,

        The issue seems to be ISP/backbone related. When I use my mobile phone (tethering) to connect to the internet instead of my regular internet connection, I'm able to connect successful to Kinetick.

        We checked with DTN/IQ and they received a few similar reports, but not all users are affected. Are you able to test a different internet connection and check if you are able to connect to Kinetick?

          It seems the ISP/backbone issue has been resolved. I'm now able to connect to Kinetick through my regular internet connection.

              Hello maxherehello,

              Can you please contact your ISP and check if they have any issues in their backbone that prevents you from connecting to Kinetick. Kinetick uses the following addresses and ports to establish a connection.

              *.interquote.com
              *.7ticks.com

              Port 31654
              Port 60020

              If you have access to another internet connection, I suggest to check if you can connect with the other internet connection.

              I'm still able to connect from my end through my regular internet connection.

                thanks for your response.

                I contacted them via phone and they told me that IP4 portforwarding was deactivated for my account and now they'll activate it. Now it takes 24 hours to update and I have to wait for it to work.

                Does this IP4 Portforwarding has something to do with the problem at all ? I told them what you wrote to me here, but they said I would need this IP4 thing.

                I really have no idea if this was the right thing what they suggested.

                  DTN/IQ informed us there were no issues with their servers. Not all users were affected, only some. This indicates the issue was likely in the backbone of some ISP's.

                  I'm not sure if IP4 port forwarding is related. But if your ISP instructed you to wait 24 hours, I suggest to do so. If you are still not able to connect after 24 hours, please let me know.

                      thank you for answering.

                      It worked yesterday. However, same issue this morning. I don't have any issues with dxFeed, Rithmic etc. DSL is working as it should. ISP says that they don't have any issues as well.

                        Update. It is most probably not an ISV in Europe. Checked everything on my side (Europe - Telekom) no known issues. It connects sporadically and disconnect.

                          *7ticks.com is not pingable. That's not an ISV problem.

                            I am running IB without any outages. Only Kinetick / IQFeed isn't working. This is not an ISV issue. All DSL connection works. IP4 and IP6 is as well not the issue.
                            7ticks.com does not respond to a ping.

                            You should check your data provider.

                              Hi All,

                              this is the same for me:

                              IB: works
                              kinetick: doesn't
                              IQ: doesn't

                              My internet-connection also works.
