IBKR Gateway version 981.3i not working

    Hi,

    Got to say that I'm a bit disappointed since this has been going on for a few days already and yet no solution is available. This is what has been done as for now:
    - Tested latest IB Gateway 10.19 -> Not working
    - Tried connecting with latest TWS -> Not working
    - Opened a support ticket to platformsupport[at]ninjatrader[dot]com -> No luck, instructed me to contact IB directly
    - Currently support ticket open at IB, but I think that in the end it is NinjaTrader's task and not IB. IB support center says this:

    Is Ninja Trader compatible with all versions of TWS?

    No. There is an inherent lag between the time IBKR releases a TWS update and that at which any third-party vendor can reasonably respond with a corresponding software upgrade. In the case of Ninja Trader, its application is compatible solely with the standalone TWS platform (not the browser based). To determine the particular version currently supported, please refer to the connection guide on the Ninja Trader web site.



    So I'm really expecting this to be fixed on your end ASAP. Meanwhile I'm switching my platform temporarily since I cannot miss anymore trading days.

      Hello hegel,

      Can you please check if you are able to connect with TWS 10.16.1k (which is not the latest TWS version). You can download and install it from the IB connection guide at the link below.


      If you click OK in the pop up window that says 1016.1k is no longer supported, does it then connect?

      If you are not able to connect to Interactive Brokers in NinjaTrader with version 10.16.1k, please send us an email at "platformsupport[at]ninjatrader[dot]com" including your Interactive Brokers username and reference this forum thread.

        Hi Jason,

        I've tried that also. After the pop-up it closes TWS so just the same effect as with IB gateway 10.16.1k.

          Hegel has the exact same issue as I have. TWS/IB gateway closes after the popup appeard saying the version is not supported. Thus for both 10.16.1k TWS and 10.16.1k IB Gateway.

            I am also still experiencing the same issue. 10.16.1k does not connect at all (pop up related to unsupported version) and latest 10.19.1b and 10.19.1c connect and enable realtime data but they do not load any history data.

            I found the following error from NT log. Not quite sure if it's related to this particular issue.

            2022-10-05 16:25:02:127|3|4|Received unknown error/warning: End Date/Time: The date, time, or time-zone entered is invalid. The correct format is yyyymmdd hh:mm:ss xx/xxx where yyyymmdd and xx/xxx are optional. E.g.: 20031126 15:59:00 US/Eastern Note that there is a space between the date and time, and between the time and time-zone. If no date is specified, current date is assumed. If no time-zone is specified, local time-zone is assumed(deprecated). You can also provide yyyymmddd-hh:mm:ss time is in UTC. Note that there is a dash between the date and time in UTC notation.

                    We have tested and verified we can connect to TWS 10.16.1k on our end without issue. However, we suspect that there is something unique about European accounts that requires a newer version of TWS. We are awaiting word back from IB to confirm what is occurring.
                    Thanks for those of you that confirmed you can connect with the latest TWS, but report that it doesn't load historical data. We can confirm historical data doesn't load with the latest version of TWS and current release of NinjaTrader.
                    We are looking into a solution and will update this post once one is available.

                        Yes I can connect with version 10.19.1b however, it does not load historical data AND it does not load live/market data.

                          LYNX trader(they use the IB platform in Holland) send me a message. They said that there was contact with Ninja Trader about the connection!
                          The answer from Ninja was that they are busy making a new version that can work in the new TWS version from IB! is that correct, and if so how long
                          it takes??​

                            Yes, we are working on a solution for Interactive Brokers clients that experience this issue. Unfortunately we don't have an ETA at this time. Once there is news regarding the matter, we will post it on this forum thread.
