TPO session start time

I am in central time zone (CST).

The data series trading hours are set to RTH and the profile's trading hours are set to RTH (also tried setting to use the data series settings - no difference).

The "A" period on my chart starts at 9:00 AM, which doesn't make sense because it's already 30 minutes into RTH. See attached image.

Is there an explanation for why the time period starts at 9:00 AM?


Disappointing to see that none of the concerns above have been addressed in the 20 months since the last post.

Is it possible your platform's timezone is set to Eastern Time? The Volume Profile would adjust these values based on the timezone selected, and should always pick 8 AM CST as the first selection.

To confirm which timezone is selected, please click on Tools > Options, and ensure the timezone is set to Central TIme.

I'm coming across this issue as well.

In all TPO usage that I've ever come across, A period starts at US market open (9:30am Eastern).

It's super confusing to have A period start early in ninja trader, forcing you to relearn each letter's associated time period. It makes it impossible to compare charts with other platforms etc.

Like the original ticket said, this should be fixed as it's a bug.
