NT8 C# version

I am still on 8.0.22.2 because as my fellow traders upgrade they seem to experience issues. So, I waited. Now that I am developing some things, I am limited to C# 5. Upgrading will solve this.

I am replying to my post for others to be aware. The latest version of NT8 only supports C#5. I thought upgrading would support C#6 or higher, but this not the case. The NinjaScript engine is limited to C#5 as I understand it. There is a different thread on voting for supporting C#6 or higher.

I am a C# developer by trade, so I can do anything I need independent of the language version. The latest language features allow one to write less code that is more understandable and maintainable not to mention more performant.

NinjaTrader will always be improving and moving toward the latest technology with a balance of maintaining the code, bug fixing, and scouting for a path forward.

Reviewing every line of code to be compliant with new technology will take time, but will always be in the works.

I've submitted your vote to a feature request to move to C# 6, which is still being tracked with SFT-3124, a request to move to C# 7 (or the latest technology).
