show money risk on chart

I'm looking for an indicator that will show me . let say I want to risk 20 dollars on a trade so I want an indicator that shows me where its 20 dollars risk on the chart

Just an idea , you could use the Risk/Reward drawing tool set to show currency to see where a x$ stop would be from an hypothetical entry price ...

really what I'm looking for is a SL for x amount of money . the think is that by adding an ATM strategy if I make 1 to take me out by x amount of loss . the system will not let me put more then 1 order

Not entirely sure what you wanted, but I made something that calculates your potential SL based on parameters you choose and plots lines on the Chart and will color code the lines for both Short and Long positions based off of the Close of the current candle. Also added the option to choose the amount of contracts you wanted to use, and to type in the amount of commission you wanted to use.

You need to drop the cs file in your indicators folder, usually NinjaTrader 8 \ bin \ Custom \ Indicators. You may need to go into editor and hit F5 to complile everything. It should be in the indicators window after that.

It displays lines for the current price, and it doesn't go far back, unless you purposely make it that way. If you have any other question or need help with anything, let me know.

in my folder I don't c an indicator folder

My folder is under Documents.
So it's Documents \ NinjaTrader 8 \ bin \ Custom \ Indicators.
I would say try looking there? or maybe look for an Indicators folder. That's where all the Indicators that NT comes with is stored, so you should have that folder....

here is my ninja trader folder I dont c an indicator folder

You're still in Program files. I don't think it's there. Try just using the search option to look for 'Indicators'. I was able to pull up my folder immediately.

To be clear, I have also have a NinjaTrader 8 folder under Program Files. That's not where my Indicator folder is. That is a different NinjaTrader 8 folder, under Documents. Hope that helps.

Pretty sure I named it riskonchart...did you already go into editor to compile? Might have to do that first before it shows up. Not entirely sure though
