Not entirely sure what you wanted, but I made something that calculates your potential SL based on parameters you choose and plots lines on the Chart and will color code the lines for both Short and Long positions based off of the Close of the current candle. Also added the option to choose the amount of contracts you wanted to use, and to type in the amount of commission you wanted to use.Attached Files

I use this: ninjatraderecosystem.com/user-app-share-download/riskruler/ It uses middle mouse button.

You need to drop the cs file in your indicators folder, usually NinjaTrader 8 \ bin \ Custom \ Indicators. You may need to go into editor and hit F5 to complile everything. It should be in the indicators window after that.
It displays lines for the current price, and it doesn't go far back, unless you purposely make it that way. If you have any other question or need help with anything, let me know.

My folder is under Documents.
So it's Documents \ NinjaTrader 8 \ bin \ Custom \ Indicators.
I would say try looking there? or maybe look for an Indicators folder. That's where all the Indicators that NT comes with is stored, so you should have that folder....

You're still in Program files. I don't think it's there. Try just using the search option to look for 'Indicators'. I was able to pull up my folder immediately.
To be clear, I have also have a NinjaTrader 8 folder under Program Files. That's not where my Indicator folder is. That is a different NinjaTrader 8 folder, under Documents. Hope that helps.Last edited by rockmanx00; 03-18-2025, 03:52 PM.

Pretty sure I named it riskonchart...did you already go into editor to compile? Might have to do that first before it shows up. Not entirely sure though

Ok...well that's progress. Did you already compile in editor?
Otherwise, check the log tab and the output in case there is an error there
