Thank you for your note.
Your best bet would be debugging in visual studio,
Adding prints throughout the script could be helpful, for example Print("Getting to line 55"); etc. Then you check the output window for the last line before the exception. I’ve provided a link to a youtube video which covers an example of using prints to understand behavior:

I may also suggest adding try catchs to your script, see,
