I wonder how it would work... I assume the C# code we want to protect would be put into a protected DLL using one of these services... and then we include that DLL in our NT project and just export the addon from NT as usual and all required dependencies including the protected DLL will be added to the exported addon?

Are you using any of these other ones?

I checked out .NET Reactor back during NT7 days,
but never moved forward, since the NT7 option to
        protect their DLLs was free.

Since I'm not a vendor, the issues you're trying to
solve with Agile.NET have not been that serious
        for me.

I suppose that a license is only needed to protect the original code.
I would think that to be the case.

I already paid in December as well, as they requested, but my license stopped working on Feb 10, 2025. And the worst is that the Secure team does not respond either by email or phone. If anyone has a contact number or email that works, please share. Do they go bankrupt as well?

I hate that we all are having to deal with this issue with SecureTeam, and I ,like others, are caught in the stupid do-loop with SecureTeam of them duplicate billing, and then making repeated excuses of why they can not get a refund processed promptly, despite their claims to do such. Best advice I have at this time is to dispute the duplicated billing. Not sure the long term will be with SecureTeam, so now the search begins to find a better alternative. I agree with the other comments that it certainly would be beneficial to the NJT vendors if this type of solution was facilitated directly within NJT.
Note: If you exercise your right to dispute the duplicated billing with your bank, and SecureTeam contacts you to ask that you close the dispute and then they will " issue you a full refund immediately". DO NOT fall for this. Once the dispute is closed with your bank, the SecureTeam rep will then follow up with a response that the dispute process with Stripe (their new cc processor) can take 2 -3 months per Stripes documentation, and that no refund can be processed. If I get an update otherwise, I will post a follow up.

If anyone does find a better alternative please let us know in this thread...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think with the other obfuscators out on the market all we would have to do is export the NT add-on as usual (which creates a zip file) and then replace the dll file inside the zip with the obfuscated dll.

I had my license purchased last April 2024 for April 2024 - 2025 period. The payment was done through 'Digital River'.
Also received an email in December, telling me to make a payment to avoid being cancelled. So I did and forgot about it for a couple of months.

I emailed the SecureTeam support last week for an invoice of the new payment made in December. The new invoice was from 'Stripe'.
However, the payment period for the new Stripe payment was also marked as April 2024 - 2025 period. This is the same period as the original payment through Digital River made back in April 2024.

This is what they said when I asked:
The order you've placed covers April 26, 2024 - April 26, 2025. We’ve set a discount for your next subscription period.

This means you will receive a zero-dollar invoice upon your next subscription renewal date and your subscription will be extended for another year.

It seems like it will all be ok come April. They will just send a blank invoice and continue the subscription. I will update here again if I remember come April.

If you are using their services and made that extra payment in December, I suggest just verifying with them that your account has actually been updated on their end. It may just be a matter of incomplete info being sent out at the time that caused a mess with some accounts.

This is the email I used (or just reply to the email for the payment required sent out in December)

You are lucky they replied to you... However, the license key they sent me is not working... and no reply to any email I've sent the last 2 weeks now. Phone numbers are deactivated as well. What to say... Just giving up and will move on. On Monday, I will call my bank and open a case requesting a refund. Banks recover the amount within an hour, reverce the payment, and mark the merchandise as a scam. Farewell Secureteam.

Gladly, after the NinjaTrader vendor support team's help (thank you), I got my license back. SecureTeam apologized and said that their email spam filter put my emails into a spam folder. Strange, because I also used their website contact form to try to reach them. Nevermind, issue solved thanks to NinjaTrader vendor support team. Thank you again.

Hopefully you have a solution before September... that's when my SecureTeam license expires.
