cannot compile

Hi - not sure what is going on I suddenly started getting below error message when compiling my strategy


Googling around, I was able to figure out that I have some entry in the NinjaTrader.Custom.csproj file that is messing things up. I have tried removing one or both below lines but it keeps getting added by NinjaTrader back when I start the script editor.


I also tried adding below lines per some recommendation on StackOverflow.. But it is still not working.. How can I get past this ?

Hello jpkulkarni,

Manually editing the .csproj would not be recommended because the platform regenerates the content of that file when the NinjaScript editor compiles.

This error can happen if you try to build the custom project in visual studio, to correct this please do the following:

1. Open the folder Documents\NinjaTrader 8\bin\Custom
2. Remove the folder named obj
3. Remove the folder named bin
4. Compile from the NinjaScript editor

That worked. Thanks Jesse. I had backed up the 2 folders earlier in a sub-directory but that didn't do the trick. I had to actually delete it. Thanks for the quick response.
