    Execution context in event handlers

    Hi,

    If I add a handler to ChartControl, would be the context (NT special properties like Bars, BarsArray, and other Strategy properties) properly set when this handler gets called?

    For example, a handler to Chart Paint event:
    Code:
    Control ChartControlPanel = ChartControl == null ? null : ChartControl.Controls["pnlChart"];
    if (ChartControlPanel != null)
    {
    ChartControlPanel.Paint += new System.Windows.Forms.PaintEventHandler(ChartPaintEventHandler);
    }
    Handler's code
    Code:
    private void ChartPaintEventHandler(object sender, PaintEventArgs e)
            {
                // May I access NT properties (ChartControl, BarsArray) in this handler?
                int firstBarX = ChartControl.GetXByBarIdx(BarsArray[0], ChartControl.LastBarPainted);
            }
    Or, should this handler use TriggerCustomEvent concept in such cases?
    Thank you.

    Hello,

    You should still be able to access all of the Strategy properties in your custom event as long as you're still working in the strategy class.
