...OK, during fast market action, say, at the Open, they can print very rapidly.

Actually, I consider that to be one of the strengths of Range Bars. When I see that rapid, erratic, generation of bars, I know that the market is too jumpy to trade except for scalps that are so quick that my fingers would not keep up, so that screams at me to sit on my dang hands until the action becomes smoother.

Once the market quiets down a little, it may still be fast, but smooth enough for me to jump in for the ride.
