When developing a strategy, what can I code to stay out of a position once my exit is met?

EX -- After profit target is reached, my entry criteria is still true. This initates a new position when I want to stay flat.

You can just use a bool. While the bool is false, don't allow trading. When your trade finishes, set the bool to false. When you are ready to trade again set it to true.

All you do is setup the variable in the Variables region of your code.

private bool traded = false;

Then in your entry logic:

if (traded == false && some other entry conditions)
{
     traded = true;
     EnterLong();
}

Then all you need to do is change traded to equal false whenever you are ready to start trading again.
