NT 6.5 Freezing Completely --> Have to restart

    Hello,

The is now freezing completely. I have to restart NT and redo the settings on my charts and strategies.

I'm only running 4 charts with 2 indicators and a simple strategy each.

Please, please, please, ... I'm dying here.

    Cheers,
    Obi

Obi, which datafeed are you using? We had a data server outage affecting ZenFire / TT / Vision users, the issues are fixed. Please reset instruments and repair the database under Tools > Options > Misc, then reconnect fresh.

Sorry Obi, right - did you get already a reply to the files you said you sent in to us? So far I did not see any coming in...

Obi, thanks - only thing standing out was that one of your indicators could not be serialized properly -

04/11/2009 16:33:30|0|4|Indicator 'NinjaTrader.Indicator.ATRTrailing2' could not be serialized. Please refer help for more information on serializing indicators.

Also - you're on 64 bit OS, which is unfortunately not supported by us for 6.5 - is there any chance you could test this on 32 bit?

The second PC is running on Xp x32. I'm using the x64 to chat with you; for convenience.

I can re-send the x32 logs if you want.

I know about the serialisation issue of that indicator, but that is barely the issue here don't you think? But, I will get rid of it.

No, most likely this is not the issue, was just pointing it out while at it. Doubt the logs for the x32 would be different, but please attach and I take a look at them, too. So the issue is exactly the same on the 32 bit one? How did the .NET refresh worked out?

Still removing the .Nets versions including the SP's

Thanks Obi, unfortunately those held no clues to explain what you see - please let me know if refreshing .NET helps, after installing from my 3.5 link please also visit Windows Updates to get any updates to this one published, then recheck.

                              Hi Guys,

Have re-installed .NET as instructed and everything seems back to normal. I have been testing it for more than a couple of days and everything is fine again.

Thank you for your help and patience. Apologies if at times I did let the frustration get to me.

Thanks and keep up the good work.

                              Cheers,
                              Obi
