Which version of .NET: 4.0, 3.5, 2.1, 2.0, 1.1, 1.0?
Any Service Pack in particular?

Please uninstall all downto and including 2.0, then just reinstall a fresh 3.5 -

Have re-installed .NET as instructed and everything seems back to normal. I have been testing it for more than a couple of days and everything is fine again.
