Fyi....

Do you get data -> then you're subscribed
If not -> then you don't have a valid subscription for that instrument or there is no L2 data for that instrument available.
Note: IQFeed is about to roll L2 support for futures. Please contact IQFeed support in order to clarify if it would be available for you.
2. Other programs on my computer can pull up the Level II information from IQ.
3. The Level II window will not show any information.
4. I now get pricing in the Super DOM.

The Saga Continues
I previously reported that I had gotten the Super DOM to show prices but the Level II window wasn't working. Which wasn't an issue as I don't use the Level II window.
I received an email from NT tech support explaining steps they said I should follow to fix the problem. Unfortunately, I followed their directions and... not only did the Level II windows continue not to work but the Super DOM quit working again. I will try and get it working again , hopefully by Monday Morning.
I am using Windows Vista. Is NT Vista compatible?

Saga Episode 2
I downloaded NT and IQ to a new Laptop running Windows Vista. I get the same results as the other Vista machine; DAX in the Super DOM, nothing else. Nothing in Level II Windows.
I went back to my old computer running Windows XP which still had the Beta Version of NT 6 on it. All the instruments worked in the Super DOM.
Would it be possible to download a copy of the Beta Version of NT to test on the Vista computers.

Beta Works on Vista
I copied the NT V6 Beta files over from the XP machine to the Vista machine and all the instruments pricing show up in the Super DOM. Nothing shows up in the Level II windows, which leads me to believe that I don't need the Level II Subscription to see the prices in the Super DOM.
Does anyone using IQ and NT get Level II info in their Level II screen? I don't use the Level II info so it's not an issue with me.
If I have time Monday I will have IQ turn off the Level II subscription and see if the Super DOM still works. I will post results here if I have time (hmmmm... maybe I should use that time to actually trade....radical thought .... ).Last edited by ThatManFromTexas; 04-26-2008, 08:34 AM.

Interesting Side Note
I installed the NT Beta files in a separate directory from the NT 6.5.1000.1 . When I bring up the NT Beta program, not only does the Super DOM show prices for all the instruments, but it also accesses all the work I created in NT 6.5.1000.1, Chart Templates, Ninja Scripts etc.

The Bottom line
Having worked at length with IQ tech support I have determined;
To get pricing in the Super DOM of NT 6.5.1000.1 you must subscribe to IQ Level II.
The Beta Version of NT 6.5 continues to show pricing in the Super DOM without subscribing to Level II.
The DAX will only show one price in the Super DOM even if you subscribe to Level II.
