download data file location

Hi,

when downloading data from the Historical data manager, what's the default location the files get put into?

Or is it not like the export feature? It sure is easier to use than the export, highlighting a instrument list and downloading all of them. Can we get something like that in Export Please! Doing them one at a time drives me nuts.

Can I access the downlod files like I do the export ones? Where are they?.

Thanks for your post.

Downloading data from the Historical Data Manager gets saved within the following Directory
(My) Documents\NinjaTrader 7\db
They will be placed in the corresponding tick, minute, or day folder

Downloading saves them to the mentioned directories to be used with NinjaTrader. Exporting places the files in a folder so you may import them to another system

Thank you for the answer, what i would like to do is to check the contentof this file, but is a .nrd - do you know how i can open it and see the ticks events?

Thanks for your notes.

Opening these files would go outside of the support we would be able to provide you with in the Support department at NinjaTrader.

The only way I would be aware of viewing the Market Replay data is to run the playback and write the values to file with StreamWriter.

If you want to view the contents of the file, you would have to research how to open and view .nrd files using third-party software.
