Templates/Workspaces created in “Sim” mode - Available in “Live” account?

    Hi there guys,
I’ve purchased lifetime with NT including the order flow suite and am in the process of migrating across my charting data/indicators etc etc - as you can imagine there is a great deal of work involved when you have been trading for years and have to transpose all this info into a new platform however I know it’s for the better so am happy to be doing it - however I have a very important question and that is:
Q: Are all the templates and/or workspaces including indicators and default settings applied to these indicators all available to me once I select the “live account” option when logging in? I’m assuming yes however just want to check to make sure before I go ahead and do more work.
    Many thanks,
PS. Also, is there a way I can export all my settings and workspaces to an external drive so that if something were to happen to my account, I could just import all this data back into NT in minutes instead of the weeks it would take to get it all back in manually?
Thanks again for all your help and suggestions guys!
    Rgds,
    Adam.

    Hello DJ888,

    Thank you for your post.

The default templates would be applied when you create a chart or add an Indicator or Chart Drawing, if you do not select a template

Workspace settings would not change when connected or disconnected to market data
When you restart, the platform will automatically re-open your previous Workspace with all the windows you had open when you last saved.

Saving Chart and other window Templates

Saving Templates in NinjaTrader will allow you to easily recall the custom settings made to a specific window at any time.

To save a Chart Template in NinjaTrader, do the following:
    • Right-click in the Chart window > hover over 'Templates' > you will then have the options to 'Load', 'Save as', or 'Save as Default'
    • Selecting 'Save As' will allow you to rename, remove, or save the current Chart as a custom Template that can be recalled on other Charts using the 'Load' option
    • Selecting 'Save as Default' will make this Chart's layout the template that automatically opens for all future Chart windows.
Note: The steps outlined above for saving Chart Templates may be applied to most other windows on the platform, including the SuperDOM and Market Analyzer. You may also right-click on the top bar of any window to create a Duplicate of that window.

Saving Drawing Object and Indicator Templates

Indicator and Drawing Object Templates may be saved by selecting 'template > save' at the bottom of their Properties windows. You may also save these as the default for object types and indicators you add to future charts.
